This was a killer of a loss tonight because you really got the feeling the Isles were well on their way to scoring prior to that game winner. It's hard to pin ot on your goaltender when you are nearly doubled up in shots, but that goal was just as bad as the first one in the Pens series.
That said, the Isles need to start finding whatever jam they had in OT and start playing 60 minutes |

If Wally is good to go I'm putting him in for Leo and would probably go the rest of the way with Wally. Boston is not the 80's Oilers you have to worry about Wally and defense. Isles going to need all the offense they can get. Isles dropped Leo twice He has no business being on the 1st line and who is going to get on Barry for sitting Leo? - ses111
Hope you’re right. Need some scoring punch if rask is gonna keep up the stingy play. |

I just watched the post-game with Barry. Doesn't sound like he's changing anything. |

Oh it’ll be on. I’ll be facing the other direction most of the time and we’ll have music on, so no sound. I worked during Game 4 and thankfully it was slow enough that I got to watch most of the game. It’s not gonna be slow at 7. |

Isles have the GM, coach, defensive play and goalies and are a tough out in the playoffs against any team. The question remains do the Isles have enough offense to go all the way? |

Doubled in shots but the isles have great chances they just try to be perfect, it's infuriating |

Indeed. They're trying to play finesse hockey during gritty hockey time against a gritty team. Barzal's goal highlighted the type of play they need.
Varly has given up a goal on his first three shots during all 4 playoff starts. Wow. |

In many ways this is like the Canes series from a few years ago. Isles have a win so far so hopefully it turns out better than that one. The more I think about it I'm going with Sorokin next game. Go to war with Sorokin and Wally as the changes. |

I suppose I'm okay either way, though it seems Sorokin has done more to earn the game 4 start than Varly. That said, Trotz sounds pretty locked in that Varly is the guy:
Trotz on Varlamov in OT: "His temperament is fine, that's a seeing-eye puck. He'll let it go, no different than he's done many times before."
This is alll well and good, but Varly is having some lapses here on a nightly basis. That goal was a left hand shot, going far side from below the face off dot from the boards. I'm a little concerned that it's becoming habitual. |

Varly has struggled these playoffs. Would not be the worst decision going with Varly but I would feel better with Sorokin.
Can you imagine if Barzal cost the team the game? |

You think Barry noticed Leo wasnt on the ice when Barzal scored? - potvin05
Really hard to watch him out there on that line dragging his arse. Guy is doing his best but he just can’t keep up. Twice tonight Eberle put a shot on net resulting in a rebound right out front but Leo was so late on the play it was an easy out for the defense both times. |

Great way of putting it. He’s a wall but gives up 1-3 bad goals a game which will usually decide a playoff game. He won’t do it but I would be completely fine with Sorokin out there next game. |

It so obvious what Leo has done to the line offensively. Boston is banged up on defense. Put Wally if he go can or Palms on that 1st line. Win or lose with better than Leo on that line. |

Mix and match to get Wahlstrom on that first line of he’s available and sit Leo. |

Barry is an all time great coach but he is stubborn with these lines. It's not a panic move to mix and match. We are not talking full scale changes. |

That's fine so put Wally if he can go or put Beau on the 1st line and play. Anyone but Leo on that line. |

I would love to see Wahlstrom come into Leo’s spot and that’s it. I honestly have no problem with Varly playing again. Yes. He let in a poop goal but he kept us in the game to begin with. |

It’s not so easy right now due to the chemistry on the 2nd and 3rd line. That’s why I was hoping there was more of an effort to find something before the playoffs instead of just throwing Komarov and occasionally Zajac on there. |
