I agree Potvin, The league has had numerous opportunities to show they are serious about protecting their players but have failed to do so. The NHLPA typically is on the wrong side of these decisions as well. Both The League and The NHLPA need to rethink how they are handling this issue.
In the good old days you would have to pay for wussy shat like this and there was a lot more respect for each other by the players because of it.
Coin flip on what he gets which is sad.
Agree with what you stated on the Robert’s hit on KJ. The offender should be out as long as the injured player especially if it’s longer then the suspension given by the league imho.
That would make players think before they hit a vulnerable player which increases the chances of injury.
I love the physicality of the game and don’t ever want to se it eliminated, but players need to respect each other’s careers. - nyisles7
It’s sad that sometimes you even need to ask the question about whether or not they really do respect that part of the game. You would think they do. I hope Scheifele at least regrets his check a little looking at it today. Physicality is a part of the game that I never want removed from the game. A game based solely of finesse is not a game I really want to watch but this old school way of looking at suspensions, like you said, really needs to be re-evaluated and ASAP.

Agreed 100%
Totally different subject.
Here’s a great read on The Leafs, Lou vs Dubas and what teams win in the POs. Recommend to all.
