Haven't watched enough of Guenther
I like Eklund - kid had a heck of a season considering he went through a slew of injuries before he actually got to play. Put up really great numbers once he got going. I'd like him even more if he spends this whole year playing centre in Sweden. - Brooks_Light
Cool. Though if centerless Nucks take him you'd think they want him close with Abbotsford. Fan marketing, AHL team need and injury call up even. |

He’s a good trade down I’ve my eye on. - Nighthawk
At 9. I would be surprised considering he had a better season than Connor and Boeser in draft year. They both trend at top 10 picks in that draft and it was strong |

Canadian but born in Clb, OH. Sillinger might be the pick for clb.
Eklund probably have a bit higher floor right now because of what he did vs men this season. Eklund is an older prospects. Guenther has more work to do. - manvanfan
Nice take on Eklund. Man if CBJ takes Sillinger could be a win for Canucks landing a Clarke or McT. |

2GP?
You got some insider knowledge or something? - dbot
Shattuck St Mary is a go to for JB.
RHD prospect. US high schools good place to find picks eg Rathbone |

So, Minivan & Reuby...
Who is your guess for Canucks at 9th? Obviously there's plenty of variables which makes predictions hard, but you two seem to enjoy eyeing the yearly eligibles.
That User with the Tesla photo was good for that as well. |

The consensus on twitter is he "needs to get at least as many games as Kadri"
Am I the only one who thinks it's not that bad? I can't see why he should be suspended more than a game - NorthNuck
I haven't looked at it much. I'm assuming the head was principal point of contact? If so, I agree with a game.
I think he was going for the "tough play," but the problem was Evans is obviously in a vulnerable position coming around the net like that. It is ultimately up to Scheifele to ease up there.
But no way he gets what Kadri does. Scheifele doesn't have the same sort of history. |

I think the look on Scheifele's face and Shea Weber losing his poop(basically scolding Scheifele) after that hit says it all. |

If McTavish or Edvinsson are available, I take either one, no questions asked.
The local kid, Kent Johnston, is in my opinion, the most skilled, in this draft,.
Power, Clarke, Beniers, and hopefully Hughes, are off the board before Canucks pick,.
I think the Czech defenseman Sborzil is a fantastic defenseman.
Picking at 9 is a tough call, but if any of Edvinsson, McTavish, or Johnston fall to Canucks that would be great, The Czech defender might be worth a Nighthawk special and trade down scenario. |

Are men only in the European leagues, or do the best Junior players not get to match up against 19-20 year old men ?
I think you might be listening to the analytic community a bit to much, Minivan. |

Just picked up on Svozil & agree. The type of player & where we draft that is worth the shot on a trade down. Sillinger is another if gone. Get an extra pick & grab RHD later on. Mine the US high schools for them like the above I posted. |

Mine the US high-school, because 1 player has 9 professional games under his belt.
Any good scouting organization is searching everywhere, around the world, including the Red Deer Rink Rodent, that has a 93 mph wrist shot..

I just believe US hockey is powerful & underrated by some.
US high school USHL USNTDP I’ve liked for awhile.
I don’t follow euros all that well. Difficult this year like most leagues |

I straight up don't want MacT at 9oa. He is hyped thanks to playing with a generational talent at u18s. There is at least 12 players that have higher ceilings than him. |

We have a difference of opinion. I cant predict what players other teams will take but I do have rankings in the forums page. (That will be altered a bit in a week or so) |

You're dreaming again.
Being a half ppg player in the 2nd best league in the world vs playing a 2nd tier in a 7th best league.
You would pick the 7th best league guy for sure. |

lol Ruby's vendetta against the Hughes family will cloud his judgement on the draft pick somewhat. And agree on Mactavish not the pick we need right now. |

I have no problem picking MacTavish just not near 9. There isn't enough of a ceiling to be picked that high.
Same as the Rasmussen hype from years ago. Wasn't willing to pick him in top 10. Had him at 20. The hype hasn't been rewarded yet for Det. |

I agree with Nuckup somewhat the NJ will be all over Luke Hughes so that leaves Clarke? Who are you leaning towards at #9? |

Whoever is highest off my rankings. I don't have a single want. I went that way once with OJ. Won't be doing that again. |
