Bruins f*ucking blow dude. Would be great to see Marchand get corked. Go Isles!!
- LordHumungous
I still see Marchand violating the Sedins and Vigneault telling everyone to look the other way and the refs will take care of it.
Big mistake by the coach. |

Doesn't Tampa have a Stanley Cup to cushion their tight cap? - Marwood
I think that made it worse. Probably some performance bonuses. If they were smart they'd lose so they didn't (frank) over their cap even more |
|

Canucks are top 3 worst cap teams.
Tampa's cap is worse numbers-wise, but they have positive-value assets to trade off to get them under (while also be a top team in the league).
Canucks cap problems are being created by terrible contracts that have negative value. Not as easy to escape that (while being one of the worst teams in the league).
So, overall, I'd say Vancouver is in a worse spot than Tampa. - NewYorkNuck
I am still trying to figure out how Tampa was able to be over the 10% of salary cap upper limit last summer. That is a masterful job of cap circumvention. |

I'm guessing LTIR? Players can be on LTIR in the summer/to start the year. |

Ya, I have no idea. Every time I read up on ltir and cap rules regarding this, I come up with about 90 million that is allowable.
Wtf do I know though. |

Narrows it down to 5 teams that could all be interested, one of whom cant afford to sign him. |

Yet they use Tampa as an example of another team up against the cap. |

I dont even think its close lol
Tampa is going to go to the Stanley cup finals again (most likely) and can trade any of their top 6 for assets all the while shedding Cap. No one is going to pay a hefty price for myers/LE/schmidt. These three players take up 21% of our Cap next year. No one is taking Beagle, roussel or ferland either (ferland LTIR and perhaps Beagle, but regardless, they wouldn't be traded for if healthy). It's night and day, how one team can remain competitive while being right up to the cap, and the other can't.

I am waiting for Nucker to tell me he had a down year and how he had 3 decent seasons in a row playing on a couple pretty good teams.
Even Lefty would have looked good on Washington or Vegas. |

It's hard to fathom someone thinking that just because you're compliant that you've spent well. The Canucks are one the the worst cap managed teams in the entire league, and now, they have few tradable, if any, players with poor cap hits that they can move to free up money.
The whole organization is a mess from ownership to management, which is why I refuse to support them any longer. |

Toronto is in for a world of pain too this coming season. They will be paying their 2nd line centre $11M (and his name is not Malkin). Their d-core is a mess and their bottom six will all need to be replaced. Plus, they have very little picks this coming draft. Not looking great in Hogtown. |

It's a good thing Benning will turn it all around by being aggressive in free agency again. What could go wrong? |

Yup, a total disgrace.
It should be interesting to see how they can f*ck it up even further, this summer. |
