You do realize that whoever they choose this draft will not fill any immediate needs right? - 1970vintage
That’s my thinking.
Lotsa needs.
I’m betting D tho. |

Doesn’t look like Reeves got any further penalty, he’s playing tonight. Doubt there is a suspension for a charge. - 1970vintage
I think Reeves got 2 games

I think Anaheim take a forward
NJD take Hughes
Columbus needs a C
I hope someone takes Wallstedt before 9 - Brooks_Light
Who will take Beniers, which leaves Johnson or McTavish for best remaining C's.

The consensus on twitter is he "needs to get at least as many games as Kadri"
Am I the only one who thinks it's not that bad? I can't see why he should be suspended more than a game - NorthNuck
Did he get a match penalty? |

I'm never right when I guess suspensions. I thought it was nasty just because he never broke stride and accelerated through the hit. Scheifele isn't dirty but he wasn't in control there either.
2 games would be fair. He could have killed him at that speed. |

I think you're right. 2 games in the playoffs for a first offender is a pretty heavy hammer. |

I don't think the Canucks are out on Lind, why put so development time into transitioning to center, he probably makes it as winger anyways, I bet near the end of next season, he's our 3 line C .

Good. Well then, probably a game or two. Though, no contact to the head, I could see them calling it “clean”
Edit - he did actually coast into the hit - stoped skating a few strides from Evans. |

Buffalo - Power
Seattles the wild card = Clarke??
Anaheim - Berniers
Hopefully NJD take Hughes
Columbus take McTavish.
really really hope Wallstedt goes before we pick
So One of Edvinsson, Johnson, Eklund, Guenther could still be around |

Sure, that's fine. Someone will go off the board again as well. There will be a surprise or two. The Canucks picking 9th is like winning the lottery. |

If Detroit wants the goalie, could we trade up and grab Edvinsson? Add a third maybe? |

After skating full tilt from the red line and making partial contact with his head
Evans Looked dead for about 20 seconds.
Soucy got suspended for charging not long ago so I'm guessing 2-3 games |

They'll try to trade down or go off the board.

I read an article about trading down since 2014 and usually teams that have traded down in the late teens or from the 20-30s typically are getting 2nds or 3rds.
So if we dropped from 9th to 14th for example it would have to be a 2nd AND possibly a 3rd, more likely a 4th - minimum. - Brooks_Light
9th for 1st/2nd/4th worth considering.
There are a few players around 14th I could take. L’Heuraux? |

That dude said he would've picked Albin Grewe instead of Podkolzin....
Let that sink in for a minute.
At least now you know who's opinion to "watch out for" |

I thought it was pretty bad, especially considering the context of the game and the vulnerable position Evans was in. I also thought there was major contact to the head, no?
Can see him getting 3. However, if they want poop like this actually out of the league, they have to crank suspensions up and give a hit like this a solid 8-10 games. |

Not clean. When I say he accelerated through the hit it means although he was coasting, he shifted edges to hold full speed while lining up the hit. He could have dragged a blade and slowed down or just stopped and let Evans run into him. |
