Game was Ok. Larger ice more room to roam but not sexy viewing. Like NFL field vs CFL field. No trapezoid I like & the NHL should abandon it & also allow more goalie contact if they like to wander. Never liked them being exempted. Become a skater pay the price or stay in goal. Retaliation on a clean check on a goalie should be a penalty. Take liberties on a goalie is a penalty.

Contact on a Goalie will never work. There's only 2 dressed. Plus look at the fights that erupt after clean heavy player to player hits. Multiply that by 50.

I hated Hasek. He was an extreme case, but all Goalies flop. Sometimes it's the only way to get space. Players know how to stick check, they can do that effectively on a Goalie playing the puck.

Never thought goalies fair game but I don’t like the special treatment either. I don’t like goalies getting run. I also despise them holding onto the puck & turtling. Worse yet when they screw up & give it away.

I hate it even more when players turn their back to the checker to protect the puck. Get nudged from behind and act like they just got shot. Hold their faces like they've been mortally wounded at the slightest hint of a stick near their face. Yet they still get an entire rink to act like this. The trapezoid is pure bullshit.
