MacEwen overrated other than the odd fight. Motte is far from losing his job. Highmore gets another looksee. Vesey is useless & never did like him. Boyd was cuz of injury & stuck with Beagle but easily replaced. Roussel is washed up.

Lind &/or Lockwood cheap can easily replace those bums.

3rd line needs a legit 3C to key the depth & scoring.

4th line with Motte Lind Lockwood would be ideal if Lind can hold his own. Gritty & energy pest line

I keep Zmac and Motte out of that group. I can't see us getting a miraculous depth influx to scorch that much earth in the bottom 6. Especially if they let Sutter walk. Jake's as good as gone. It's too much.

I seen earlier you guys discussing first round picks and I was thinking there is a good chance Canucks say we would rather Reinhart and are willing to trade it to get SR. Doing that also allows the team to move Miller to 2C and BO Pearson and Pods to the third line . That is a hell of an upgrade from last years Sutter Gauds and Jake.

I imagine SR would cost 6 mil a year. It is not really wizardry . Benning said they may buy out some players and Jake and Holtby have a savings of 6 mil. If you are going to make moves this might be the year to do it.
