Yup...I just looked, it's amazing they get made fun of, for good reasons, but Jim Benning gets a pass from his apologists.

Both Buffalo and Vancouver have a nice young core they've been able to draft from poor finishes, the trick successful teams seem to figure out is how to surround those players with the complementary players they need to succeed.

I said the other day, Jim Benning's not had much success outside of his first round picks to build depth and or complementary players in the top six or in the organization.

Both of them were excellent picks, same can be said for Rathbone, he looks good.

Maybe some of those kids just from 2016 to 2018 just need more time to develop because 2014 and 2015 produced Gaudette, Tryamkin and Forsling beyond the 1st round, which is pretty decent.
