Sorry spelled her name wrong Taya Currie - Buff36
I missed that. That's awesome. Reminds me of the piece TSN did on Manon Rheaume. She was a trailblazer who was used for her good looks to sell tickets but she didn't care. She just wanted to play hockey.

Growing up I was exposed to all of this playing hockey with my sister. Hayley Wickenheiser and Cammi Granato (can't escape that Granato connection) had their pictures on the wall in the basement along with Hasek, Mats Sundin, Patrick Roy and Eric Lindros. Its great for Currie obviously and I appreciate it a lot personally |

From some of the stuff I read, sounds like she's pretty good. |

Well he was a LW and still went 40% on the dot. I wouldn't call that terrible. He was in the Selke voting 3 times in his career. He was the quintessential defensive-forward. - BeadyEyedDouche
Then you’re wrong dude
Bc 40-43% is among the worst on the league who take a decent # of faceoffs
It’s not a huge deal
But calling him “good” at it is just wrong |

Way more than Detroit is willing to part with.
1st 2021
1st 2022
Top end prospect
Maybe more.
Sorry, moving to 1 is not cheap. Even in Covid season. - Lilroot9
I’d do it without the top end prospect if the 2022 1st was unprotected |

If we selected Beniers 1st overall and he was a carbon-copy of Jochen Hecht right out of the gates - A 20-goal, 50-point guy who is good at faceoffs, physical along the wall, has a knack for scoring timely short-handed goals from behind the goal line, and is as defensively sound as a Forward can be, I wouldn't mind one bit. Just like how I don't care that Reinhart was a 2nd overall and is basically exactly that except not as physical, which, he doesn't need to be because he's probably the most consistent player in the NHL and the fact that we managed to also (frank) up and ruin our relationship with him is beyond forgiveness - It's an actual crime against the fans if he doesn't sign here long-term.
I remember that game where he rattled Lecavlier's cage, I don't think I stopped
smiling for a week because we also played them again a few days later and Vinny had the most purple shiner of all-time. - BeadyEyedDouche

If you don’t want to draft Powers, you trade down from 1 and pick Beniers, eklund or Hughes. Call me crazy, but I’m taking the 6’6” player who skates like a 5’11” elite player, has tremendous outlet skills and will fill out to be 230-235 pounds. Don’t overthink this - turbo044

Powers is the only choice for the 1 spot. The kid is good, very composed for his age and will grow to be a Chris Pronger clone. |
