The big red machine keeps on rollin!
Go Habs! - dbot
If the Canucks hadn’t had a tough early schedule, Petey didn’t get hurt, they didn’t all get Covid and Green learned to coach, would they have been where the Habs are right now? 🤔 |

Beagle brings more value on and off the ice as you have just admitted - Nucker101
I didn't admit anything. I'm stating that would be the counter argument from you folk
(which I would dispute anyway). The whole leadership and intangibles thing is so silly to me. Leaders lead by example.

He was never worth his contract. He cashed in after averging sub 7 minutes a night and winning a ring. I'm happy for him, just like I'm happy for LE cashing in on 36 million after padding his stats and playing with Marchand and Bergeron for a season lol. I never fault the player for cashing in. - Codes1087
Well put Code's, just another example of JB's ability to win bidding wars. Can't blame the players or agents for reaping the low hanging fruit.

Read an interesting article today about how Suzuki is the player drafted with the pick that the Jets sent to Vegas for not taking Whichever two guys they wanted to hang onto (forget who it was, but nobody important) for the expansion draft |

Don't you lecture me on Sopes!
I'd take Graovac all day over Beagle next season personally.
I like his size, hands and price point.
beagle was a decent Faceoff/PK shut down specialist.
he's washed now. - dbot
Those 3 million dollar face-offs and 17th ranked PK specialist
I'm hoping Beagle goes on LTIR and Gravoac is our new full time center. Through 84 NHL games, graovac has 12 goals playing 4th line minutes. Considering we have harped and complained about depth scoring, he sort of seems like an easy choice over the highly acclaimed jay beagle lol, and for a 1/3rd of the aav. |

I don't know if anyone hasn't said it wasn't an overpayment. Even JB admitted that. What they're saying was worth it was that he helped the development of the young core and filled the C need.
Flat cap and injuries now made his contract MORE problematic. So far it contributed to loss of TT and Tanev. If he goes like Ferland then there's cap for a new 3LC to fill gap. At least until one is developed as Gaudette didn't work out. |

yup.
Knowing our luck, Graovac will get injured in training camp however.

The wife asked the other day if he was related to David Suzuki.
Had to google it, but turns out he is!

Every season as a Canuck he has been. They just need more bodies for 4th line that are better than Sutter or Boyd. There are some prospects though that could get a sniff at camp. |

Bit premature still but best deadline deal? Hall for a 2nd or Palmieri for a 1st?

I would rather have had Travis boyd or graovac as our 4th line center than Beagle. Boyd had a bad year too so that's sort of how I feel about Beagle lol.
