The reason I mention this with Seattle supposedly wanting Beniers I wonder if they feel uncertain about the skill level of this draft class if they go with a franchise goalie with the first pick? I have no idea.

I won't pretend like I know much about these kids. I've read a bunch of mock drafts, read the general consensus top 15 strength and weaknesses. I think we will get a good player unless we go massively off the board. I don't much care for Edvinsson based on what I've read and some comparables, and I've heard sillinger skates like he has concrete in his boots.

I honestly can't say I know this draft class well at all. I imagine we get a good player at 9oa. I hope we keep it and don't trade it.

Compared to Petey he certainly hasn’t been impressive, but Vegas thinks they are a cup contender and they have a pretty veteran lineup. He’s not exactly a bust at 22.

But you could be right, they might want to make a splash by picking up a “Marner” or something to take a bit of a shortcut.

I don't either, hoping for a C. I think Clarke will be gone. I've just been going with Bob McKenzie and the NHL final draft rankings. I think there will be a couple of surprises by the time VAN picks.
