Tyler Toffoli made them pay.
He's also ripping it up in the playoffs - VanHockeyGuy
So, if FA gave the buyout approval on Sutter to sign TT; we'd be now talking about Canucks as Kings of the North? |

When the reported price was $6M+ I had no interest. At less than 3/4 of the price absolutely. Whatever, we ran out of time. I'm not even bummed about it anymore personally but excuses for why we didn't bring him back are god awful. We were in a poorly managed cap situation, simple as that. - golfingsince

I didn't want tanev at the same price as what Calgary gave him as far as term and aav, but I can admit he was awesome for them this year.
Toffoli was their leading scorer in Montreal and a huge reason they are in the playoffs, and evidently, moving on to the 3rd round. It's nice to see. |

Who are you hoping for with the first? - VanHockeyGuy
I don’t know man. This draft is (frank)ed. I guess Clark although he probably won’t make it to 9. Mctavish would provide this team with some size and grit. If he can improve his skating he could become a stud Center. Lot of smaller forward prospects in our range and I’d prefer to stay away |

It's going to be entertaining and that's all I'm looking for. - A_SteamingLombardi
Watching four really good teams, Tampa-Carolina-Colorado-Las Vegas, has been entertaining. Lots of skill, size and entertainment value.
I believe out of the past twenty Stanley Cup championships, nineteen have come out of the top ten in the NHL standings, just read it, only LA wasn’t. Should ring true again this year. |

I can bash Benning with the best of them, i'm pretty sure we all know that. However, he's our GM for another season.
Last year the worst deal he handed out was Holtby, 2 years. The most hamstringing he did with the cap was Schmidt......reviews are mixed. I hope he's learned something although I don't really believe it. I guess we'll see this summer. Hopefully short deals for stopgap players unless an absolute value signing takes place.
I also hope he doesn't move high draft picks unless they're for either an elite 3C or a top pairing RHD. I don't want a 1st moved in the first scenario.
It's June, we still have a year+ of bad deals but i'll hold off until he does something else I take issue with. |

A team minus its number one center struggles. But in here that’s considered a bad excuse lol |

Of course, that's right around the time the team started playing better as a whole, if they had EP as well, they could've been in the playoff mix. |

Carey Price played less games than EP. We finished 9 pts back, 13 behind the Jets. Do you think EP makes up the difference?
The season was lost IMO long before he was injured. |

guess so ... funny how TT in post game brought up how tough the schedule was and they almost missed the playoffs. Imagine what TT would say if he had the Canucks one ...? |

as a guy that reads the posts here but rarely posts, the posts in this blog are (frank)ed up.
i mean seriously do these guys really need to (frank)ing moan non stop about Benning. get the (frank) over it, or over yourselves.
what the (frank) is with you guys, whoever complains the most, the longest is the greatest revered bumhole, king poop man...i am the bestest Benning complainer EVER.
i would have loved a new GM, coach and assistants but it didn't happen, is not likely to happen, so give it a rest.
there are lots of hockey being played, but the loser here can only female dog about Benning - Sea21dog

Cassidy calls out the penalty disparity favoring the Islanders.
"They set up a narrative over there. It’s more like the New York Saints instead of the NY Islanders."
Said the Islanders created a narrative where they're clean and then don't get penalized

Pretty much my thoughts. So I lean towards McTavish but wouldn’t mind Lucius if picked. |
