Scottie Pippen doesn't get enough credit for that run of Championships.
- Load Management

I liked Pippen. Drafting him and Grant helped for sure but every championship team has supporting players.

I lost respect for Scottie when the game winning shot was set up for Tony Kucoc when Jordan was gone and Scottie sulked. MJ was a winner first and foremost. He absolutely refused to let anyone be better than him.

That's a different animal.

Can we go back to something other than a need for 3C, we beat this topic to death, while Nighthawk was on a sabbatical.😁

Out of him, lebrom and kobe MJ probably is the best defender too. His hands/feet were quick for a big guy. All three were great, id put MJ above but its close. Lebron is showing a bit more longevity. If he wins a few more i think youve got a conversation.

I watched all of them actually, including when they lost to Rodman/Detroit. They were an amazin team, but Pippen was a very average player once he left. Its a statistical fact.
- neem55

Sure. He fell off a cliff after helping hang 6 NBA Championship banners in 8 years as an average player. Because you've got the statistics.

He was a good role player, for sure. Very good role player. Not an elite player, as his years away from MJ showed.

You know I am messing with you. I remember after last season, I believe it was Vantel and I that were talking about how important and the big need a player like Danault would be for this team.

Dude everyone who was on that team's bodies broke down after playing that much intense basketball in an 8 year span. Christ man get real. Jordan retired for 3 years after that run. Never won a championship again.

Who would have thought that the Habs were a team made for the playoffs and be up 3-0 in round 2.

Have fun gloating until they are swept by Colorado

Danault and Lowry were brought up, but Danault was kinda ruled out, as he is the 1st line centre on the Habs an apparently turned down a 6 million dollar deal. Lowry was ruled out because Minivan said so.
Haula and someone else were brought up as well.

Kerr maybe beimg the exception, but its a good point. I just think if he was truly great he would have been better eother when MJ took a year off or when he played elsewhere. Thats been my opinion at the time when they dominated and now. I also think Rodman was the second best player on that team, and have always thought that. But hey, clearly we dont agree. All good!

MJ was absolutely the best defender.

My order of those 3 would be MJ, Kobe, Lebron.

This is not aimed directly at you but you can't turn on any hockey site without seeing multiple complaints about Canucks spending big bucks on the bottom 6 and about two sentences later you see they need a 3C like Danult Lowry Kerfoot and so on.

I think first of all Canucks have three talented Cs with Bo Petey and JTM and it is easier to find a winger .

Also a player I like in the system is Cosmar who had a very good year up until injury so I don't want to lock in long term on and start all over hearing about money wasted on bottom six.

Someone said last night Graovac has earned a return and Foch should also be ready for bottom line duties in another year.

Oh I agree, I would much rather wait out the contracts, which also gives the young players more development time.
Between Focht, Karlsson and Costmar, we can hope one of them can become a much needed nhl centre, plus, we don't know who the team drafts this year, so that may set them up at that position for years to come.

1st paragraph is the cake & eat it too gang. No clue how hard it is to find legit 3C’s. They aren’t bargains.

Disagree using Miller as a 3C. Weakening the top 6 isn’t good. Yes wingers are easy & we have an ok bunch once dud vets move on.

4C needs a steady healthy player. If the top 3 lines are pulling their weight the 4th line augments that. Speed & grit best for 4th liners.

Another reason I would not go all in is because of the coaching system. Whatever big name bottom 6 you would bring in would look nothing like they did on their previous teams. Canucks systems are ________.

Roussel Beagle Schilling Gagner Bonino and the list goes on had more success either right before or right after their term with Canucks.

I am not suggesting move JTM and replace his spot with Vesey.

Yeah Graovac gets injured a lot but so did Tanev until he didn't .

Barzal with wimpy cross checks that don’t earn a penalty,

Krejci a slash ahem spear to the junk is a $5k fine.

What a joke. A wussy like Krejci gets off with a wrist slap.
