For those that miss the wonderful blogging of James Tanner,

I tried, honestly did.
Made it like 2 whole paragraphs before i gave up.
maybe it's the nightshift, maybe it's the analytics, but mostly i think it's the terrible writing and the fact that it's about the leafs.

Thanks Carol!
I liked the EP40 hat best.
If anyone wants to buy one for me, just post it to either ice rink in Auckland. |

I really don't see any of the top 4 defensemen being available at 9.
I also think McTavish is a lot closer to being nhl ready than you think. - Reubenkincade
You could be right Hughes and Clarke will be gone by #9. I'm not sold on Mactavish just yet will need to look into it but we do need a 3LC. |

9. Vancouver Canucks: Mason McTavish, C, Peterborough Petes (OHL)
The Canucks have some excellent wingers and solid defenders in the ranks, but what they could use is another potential top-six center to one day work behind Elias Pettersson. McTavish is a big body that has excellent puckhandling skills and is a very smart playmaker. He looks strong playing overseas in Switzerland this year and brought that to his World Under-18 performance. This could be an excellent fit for the Canucks.

I noticed that as well.
BoHo will 29 in 3 years time tho.
That's some optimal time to be 3c imo

So what you're saying is MG for team president? - NewYorkNuck
No, not at all. I just agree with him on this. Plus he's worked for FA and knows what a sh*t show the team is. |

I was just busting your balls. I know a lot of people here hate the idea of MG working with the team again... but I'd give him a listen. If the idea is to bring the best person in, you should interview everyone.
MG was trash at drafting, but crafty with the cap, signings, some trades, and pushed a lot of resources into making the team better by any means. Pretty much the opposite of JB. Maybe if MG is the team president and JB the draft guy, they compliment each others strengths and weaknesses? |

"A high functioning organization"
Do the Canuck's fall into this category? |

If by high you mean strung out on peyote and heroin, then yes. |

We could scour the internet, for all eligible players in any draft and find hi-lites for those eligible players.
This team has bigger needs than getting Quinn junior. - Reubenkincade
He plays a big more physical, has a bigger shot and has really good skating. Apparently not as great at passing but QH is pretty mich top tier, no surprise there. He would be a great pick. Id prefer clarke. |

Do MG's comment's on some NHL teams remind you of the Canuck's? I agree with him.

Mike Gillis is more of a lawyer/agent who's always full of excuses.
Jim Benning is a hockey man who was left with that guy's mess. |

Plenty of top Cs perform well into their 30s, I don't expect Bo to slow down at 29 |
