How in the world was the Boston goal allowed given what goals have been overturned in the playoffs this year. The inconsistency of the NHL is just beyond absurd. |

Last night they allowed a goal for Vegas vs. the Avs where Brubauer had stopped the puck, but his momentum carried him and the puck past the goal line. His momentum was clearly helped by the stick of Ryan Reaves. |

Zajac, but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen

Ilya Sorokin and Cory Schneider the two #Isles goalies on the ice for optional morning skate. Not much to guess about today. Trotz said he was inclined to use same lineup despite Wahlstrom traveling and we all know Varly is getting the net after Game 4 outing. |

I wouldn’t break up JGP’s line. They have been great and have been up against The Perfection line most of the time. Zajac been good and it’s nice to have 2 Centers out there against Bergy if one gets tossed or just to take draws on their strong side. Put Wally on Barzals line and Pray when Boston has the puck. Bailey or Nelson to the PK for Leo. Other than that I don’t see another scenario we’re he gets in next game. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. |

Lee looked pretty good on the ice after the Isles morning skate. Not playing this year but still surprised to see him out there skating |

That would be some shot in the arm if we got him back. I know we’re not. |

Maybe if there's another covid shutdown and we make it to game 7 of the finals |

This is sort of interesting. There was some guy on Twitter with one of those 'Matt Moulson's dog says' kinda grapevine scenarios claiming that Anders was skating and could be back in July if needed. The claim was due to the injury being a clean tear, the surgery went better than expected and with the playoffs stretching later than ever, it wasn't out of the realm of possibilities.
Like everyone else, I don't expect him back prior to next season, but this certainly feeds the fire

Seems like there is a 0% chance Lee is back at all, even if we were to make the finals and go 7 games.

#Isles captain Anders Lee (right ACL) is skating on his own at one end at TD Garden at end of #Isles optional. Before you get too excited, remember Barry Trotz has said, a couple of times, he will not be ready in the postseason. But good sign he'll be fine for training camp.
I do remember it being reported, not long after the injury, that his knee was expected to heal 100% and, at this point, that's the best news any of us could hope for.
I guess there's an extremely outside chance that Trotz is still just playing possum on Lee and he makes some sort of WWF-style surprise entrance in a game at some point if we get out of this series...but I'm not banking on that |

Yeah, I honestly don't think there's any chance of him returning, but after watching Adrian Peterson shred his ACL and MCL and returning to come within a few yards of the all time rushing record....
That said, it's normally 6 to 9 months recovery for an ACL, which pretty well closes the book

Lee had a full ACL tear and repair job. I think they would be foolish to not let him have the full 6 months to heal and rehab the knee. I am sure Lee would love to come back early but I can't imagine the team would be ok with that idea... but who knows. |
