Officiating aside this series has been awesome!! Big saves, Big Hits, Fights, Multiple OT games, lots of goals and great home crowds, what more could you ask for? - Isles
The difference between this series and the north division series is astounding. Colorado Vegas has also been epic

Absolutely and it's a shame the current focus is on the refs because like I said its been an awesome series so far. Round 6 tomorrow night is going to be another 3 hours of nerves with extreme highs and lows in between

The fact that you are writing the this crap is amazing. I have a lot of respect for the Boston Bruins, but the fact that they are not getting calls and the islanders are is ridiculous. Not one call made last night was un warranted. I name several calls against Boston that were and were not called. Richties friendly elbow to the head of Mayfield, Multiple cross checks and hits from behind on Barzal. As ticky tacky as it maybe, ripping Martins helmet off is a penalty.
Do not tarnish a good series by whining about what penalties are called. Give your goaltender some more support defensively and you would leading the series bc he has been solid up until last night.
There is no need to - Nfdbulldawg

In the 2020 playoffs Rod Brind'amour was fined $25,000 for complaining about referee Francis Charron.
In the 2021 playoffs David Cassidy was fined $25,000 for complaining about referee Francis Charron. - BINGO!

Cassidy complaining to the media is a clown show. Make adjustments, get the team ready for game 6. Leave that poop to the fans.
Bates Battaglia was right. Cassidy is a (frank)ing clown. |

Maybe if Cassidy didn't have a hissy fit after every call they would have killed off a couple. Teams feed off the coach. The Islanders haven't gone 3 for 4 on the power play in a long time. |

Because they didn't get along 18 years ago? I actually didn't mind his press conference. Obviously it's going to get all the attention but it was delivered pretty well.
They will be ready.

Battaglia played under Bruce in 2003 in Washington and hated him. His stint with the Capitals did not go well.

Not really. I'm just not impressed with Cassidy in this series at all. Trotz has this sorted out as Cassidy has barely made any adjustments. It's like watching Claude just roll, 4 lines and 3D parings while down a goal all over again. How much more is he going to watch Cizikas, Cluster(frank) and Martin own both the Coyle and Lazar lines before doing something or making significant change?
DeBrusk sitting was not enough. DeBrusk should be a black ace at this point. How are Ritchie, Kuraly and Wagner still playing, still getting ice time when down a goal?
EDIT: In general coaches whining to the press about the referees is dog poop. That's for the fans to do. All he is telling me is that Trotz and Isles are going to win this series and he can't do (frank) all about it. |

Thought he did a good job rolling out the big guns in the third last night. Cant really just roll two lines and expect them to have any energy towards the end of the game.
One positive. The third line with Kuhlman was much more effective last night.

It's more towards his "strategy" in game 4. Last was night was better with Kuhlman agreed. Maybe it's time for Ritchie and Kuraly to also sit. Ritchie is way too slow and Kuraly is doing dumb unproductive poop out there. Studnicka and Frederic maybe more effective in this series.

ITs what Washington did (or didnt do) made zero adjustments and they couldnt keep up man to man. Bruins are playing like their style will eventually win, but it isnt.

Kuraly always brings it though. He plays hard pretty much all the time. If he could add any sort of play making or offense he would be a very good player. He is the perfect 4th liner right now.
Studnicka isn’t ready. Frederic will be in tomorrow I’m sure |

Both players play hard I think. That's a good thing and from what it sounds like the major reason DeBrusk is out. These 2 guys just aren't effective in this series. Frederic is most likely going to draw in for Lazar who may be injured. |
