The problem is that you guys do this after every loss.. like you winning is a given and losing is becauss of the refs. You got outcoached and out played when it counted. Plua your team is showing its age.
- LFS

You go from being a sad sack sports town to T12/Ortiz/Thomas/Pierce showing up and get all those championships in less than 2 decades, and you’re going to get an insufferable fan base.

That being said, the writer was just reporting Cousin Brucie’s comments. We can debate whether he should have been more opinionated given the forum here at HB, but no one can complain that he was whining.

this has got to be the biggest sour grapes post EVER. The Bruins and Islanders both play tough Hard nosed hockey and now when another team plays the same style and beat them at their own game cassidy is whining about the refs? the Bruins get away with more non called penalties than any team in the league by far and its not even close....maybe Cassidy should look in the mirror and not be outcoached. Whining incessantly about the refs and injured players. Anders Lee and Johnny Boychuck 2 of the Islanders best players havent played a minute this series and you dont hear Trotz griping about injuries.....He just gets the players he does have, get ready to play unlike Bruce,

so Anthony stop with the Whiny little baby posts and report what you see and not the excuses, all it does is make you look like a whiny child

- billneftleberg

Hey dumbass. Did you read the blog? Or just the tittle? Cuz Anthony is not whining. There was no opinion in there, other than the Bruins need to be better to win.

Your team is up 3-2 and YOU'RE the one in here whining.

The islanders outplayed the Bruins last night? On what planet did you watch the game from.

Outscored? Yes.

Outplayed? Not even close. Shots were 44-19.

The officials suck on both sides of the ice. They admitted as much on the Krejci call. They called a major under review (which it should have stood as a major) and as soon as they had to look at video they knew they couldn't explain their way out of ignoring the 4 straight cross checks to Krejci's kidney by Barzal (so Barzal got what was coming to him)...so, you change an obvious spear to a "slashing" 2 minute minor. What a joke these guys are. The missed delay of game on the Islanders that NBC was quick to move on from the replay that showed it went out right off the Islander's stick.

The Bruins are hurting on the PK thanks to missing Carlo and Miller and it's showing up on the scoresheet. I have no problem with pulling Debrusk but Wags has got to go too. If he plays the body on the Barzal's hack attack goal in game 4, Barzal doesn't get it past Tuukka's skate but instead he plays the stick...SIMPLE fricken play!!! Knock Barzal out of there and no goal!!!!

Boston pandas are laughable. Its always the refs when they lose. Wake up.. you got outplayed and out coached. The age of the pandas is showing.

Hysterical. You must be a Democrat. Do as I say not as I do. You’ve got one of the dirtiest players in the league on your team in Marchand. Enough said.

Yes...because only a political affiliation can cause sports bias, because logic.

whats reallyl a shame is we cant talk about how awesome that marchand goal was, over shadowed by Rask doing his best Jon Casey impression. Hearing its his hip, if thats the case, start Swayman tomorrow, if Rask cant' butterfly, he's useless

He had no mobility. If he is injured, then yeah, need to start Swayman. Should not be losing when you outshoot opponent 44-19. Was similar number previous game as well, no?

I hope that Rask is good to go. Starting Swayman on the road for elimination game is less than ideal.

its a tight series .. the refs miss calls on both sides ! Cassidy is just prepping the beaches if they and I mean IF they lose game 6 or the series ..he may very well be out of a job !... both squads are very similar the Isles seam to fold under pressure and leave the goalies out to dry at times.. which they did the entire 3rd period as the shot count shows !

The fact that you are writing the this crap is amazing. I have a lot of respect for the Boston Bruins, but the fact that they are not getting calls and the islanders are is ridiculous. Not one call made last night was un warranted. I name several calls against Boston that were and were not called. Richties friendly elbow to the head of Mayfield, Multiple cross checks and hits from behind on Barzal. As ticky tacky as it maybe, ripping Martins helmet off is a penalty.
Do not tarnish a good series by whining about what penalties are called. Give your goaltender some more support defensively and you would leading the series bc he has been solid up until last night.
There is no need to

It was the same as the first round Isles were totally outplayed and beat Pittsburgh.
They pulled the same tactics and got away with it. Now Boston is dominating and losing the series. Islanders get away with all the dirty tricks and the refs fall for it.
Hockey is the greatest game in the world and also has the worst officiating as well.
It is like watching the Democrats get away with all the B/S and when the other side does the same thing they do not get away with it. Double standards exist all over
I actually am not rooting for either side but watching it unfold is just horrendous.
But in this league nothing changes. Makes you want to turn off the TV

Lets defund the referees That what the Democrats would do

There just isn't much sympathy for the Bruins amongst the fans at large. Respect yes, sympathy no.

Every team at some point in time has had dirty players. I've been watching hockey since the early 90's and I've seen teams go through evolutions in their rosters and playing styles. Boston has always played a hard-nosed style no matter who was on their roster. It's part of their culture and identity. It's worthy of respect, but you won't make many friends that way. Marchand is a good example. Great two-way player with an elite scoring touch. He chooses to be a pest and dishes out some questionable behavior. Love him or hate him, he is polarizing. As long as you have guys like that on the ice, other teams and fans are not going to feel sorry for some bad calls or non-calls.

I will say one thing more - I take back what I said about Rask during last year's bubble playoffs. I thought he was done as a Bruin. I was wrong. He's been solid.

Any time you try to make a point about hockey and then throw politics in there, you end up making yourself look like a loon. Let it go man. Show me on the doll where the Democrats or anyone else hurt you. Who cares. It has nothing to do with hockey, no matter how hard you try. And no, I am not a democrat or a republican - they both suck Richards.

Yeah I know we suck but somehow the law of averages just hasn’t caught up with us yet. Incredible how we made it to the ECF and the second round consecutive years and in reality according to you we really suck. It’s the refs, goalies, and now you’re saying democrats. You are awesome man. Keep being you
