One thing not talked about us OJ vs Rathbone. Realistically one needs to be traded. We only have room on 3rd pairing for one, and both need to be full time NHLers. Edler either comes back, or Schmidt takes his place. If the news of Miller and Schmidt not getting along is true, one could be gone this off season. Personally I would be good going Hughes, OJ, Rathbone on the left and signing Hamonic for Hughes, Myers plays with one and we get an experienced RHD to play with the other. |

I think you see Schmidt on his way out, I wouldn't be surprised to see him moved to Winnipeg or Buffalo.
Stanley would be a nice pick up for the Canucks. |

Jokiharu would be as well |

Washington? - VANTEL
I was also think Detroit, don't believe Washington has room, unless Canucks retain. |

Two things I seen in Wash is they want to get rid of Kuznetsov , and I also heard they may be willing to move Dillon .

Dillon for Schmidt would be a steal for the Canucks.😁 |

That's gotta be a couple big pluses added to that. 9OA and DiPietro? |

(frank) Edler coming back is my second worst nightmare right now. The first is the possibilities on draft day.

That works. Not sure what Buffalo would think, they might want a pick added. |

Thinking cap on but I doubt he is being demoted.
Canucks have quite a few young defenders and maybe Baumy was overmatched last season.
I do wonder what special assignment coach means for Gustafsson. I would say maybe he is more of the go between Abby and Van. Coordinate with Cull more on certain aspects of players games? - manvanfan
hmm seems some comprises made here. So, if the team stumbles then Green gets fired and new guy takes over. But Green, who's loyal to a fault to Baumy, snagged a Portland connection to help with the bubble guys. |

Not sure where all this "JTM hates Schmidt" stuff is coming from. I would love for them to move Myers over Schmidt, but if they can't/won't, have they tried playing them together? |

If they wanted our first added I would want their second in the deal. Reinhart is a free agent in another year. You could also get RNH for free.

What value do you think Schmidt has? He's a top 4 defender, sure, with a contract about a mil too much.
Reinhart is a 25 year old 1st line player. Don't think you're getting him top a top 4 defender plus some bubble players. That doesn't even take into account the young defender from them (don't know anything about him) |

Hansen called Schmidt a #4. He never mentioned Myers being a #4. |

Miller was being crabby one day. Didn't want Schmidt's happiness. |
