My personal view. Players producing less with the ice time are basically 3rd liners playing up a line, 3rd wheel basically. Lots of players are like that. Not 1st or 2nd liners but they work with the 2 guys on their line that are. - Retinalz
Well haven't we just cycled back to the "is Alex Burrows a 1st line player?" argument |

According to Freedman 31 thoughts, Flyers are willing to discuss every player but Farabee and Hart.
Edit
Apparently Tarasenkos name is out there as well. |

All I can say is
#canucksfansgetwhattheydeserve.
Doomed for another 5 seasons, at least Bedard is a more realistic dream now, if true. |

He was a 3rd liner with skill sets that worked well with 2 elite 1st liners. |

A lot of high end players sign the 5 year deals. It's not a blemish on JB if Hughes is merely one of them. - Retinalz
A lot?
I don’t think so. Players might sign 5 year deals, but I highly doubt that a lot of general managers are buying 0 or 1 UFA years from their top young players. |

|
|
Also, I think Tom Fitzgerald might be calling the shots on how much to sign him for |

He was a first line player because he played on the first line |

That Dobson kid gets better and better every game. He will be a Norris candidate in a couple seasons. |

Ya I would pass on Tarasenko. Would cost a bit and has run into a lot of injury troubles recently.
Would call on Konecny and Nolan Patrick though |

I could live with those numbers... - dbot
It is such a damn fine line between on defenders that score but don't know how to defend.
Need scoring and a PP QB but how do you pay them while someone who keeps the puck out but doesn't score gets half that. |

Both Pouty & Huggy should be offered no more than 3 year deals. - Marwood
You can go 3 with Pettersson and 4 with Hughes, and they are both RFA’s at the end of their deals.
Next year: Boeser
Two years: Horvat, Miller, Höglander
Three years: Pettersson, Podkolzin
Four Years: Hughes
Plus whatever other guys show they are part of the solution. |

I almost always comment on something specific from the blog, and generally introduce 3-4 new topics per blog. As I said they all fizzle, and we are reduced to arguing about the same poop. 🤷♂️ - 1970vintage

Oilers signed Devon Shore 2 x 850 K
Dhaliwal said on the show the speculation of Hughes and Petey is
Hiughes 6+ mil x 5 yrs
Petey 7+ mil x 3 years - VANTEL
If Hughes wants 6+ it needs to be on a 7 year deal. Otherwise it should be a 5x5 deal. |
