Blind Benning hate is no worse/better than blind Benning loyalty. Same can be said for all things canucks. |

This. Even if he trades a 1st and gets a guy like Cernak or Dumba that’s hardly something to be down about - Nucker101
Dumba sucks. And he's a tool. Remember it all from the rebels WHL days. No. |

Say rathbone podkolzin juolevi hoglander and lockwood all make the team next year.
Very very quickly, the cupboard starts to look thin as these prospects start to make their first impacts on the team. (Like vintsy said above)
I just don't think the canucks can afford to mortgage the future after just placing 24th overall in the league with much of the team coming back next year. - Codes1087
I don't see a good roster with Rathbone Hughes OJ on the left side.
Two names I can see coming out West are Reilly and Reinhart. I can see both on the same team and both playing in the west . Seattle Vancouver and LA would be my guess

People using a bunch of words incorrectly.
Why, technically, shouldn't they have a team there? - NewYorkNuck
Maybe a bit harsh. What Should have said was they should have MOVED a team there. One of ARZ, FLA, CAR, anyone of the teams that bleed 20-40 mil in cash each year in non hockey markets. Vegas and their fans are great there just should have been no 'expansion'. Instead move struggling clubs to good markets. But the expansion fees are too juicy for Buttman to pass upon lol |

This is my point towards not mortgaging a 1st or spending aggressively in free agency this summer. Ice a roster, save some cap space, spend some money when Beagle, roussel, LE, virtanen are all gone next summer. The season truly starts in 2022/2023 for me. I'd like to see podkolzin, hoglander, Rathbone take some developmental steps and that's all I expect from them. Hopefully Hughes gets better defensively as well. |

The marmalade recipe? - Marwood
Peppermint oil and squirrel droppings. Rub a bit on top and put a cactus under your bed and you should be good as new in no time. |

If I was trading for Morgan I would go at OJ Zack and a 2022 second.
I am sort of interested to see what happens with Schmidt this year. I haven't heard anything but I have a feeling they may hang his name out there to see if there are some takers.

My point was. So much was made yesterday about pettersson missing the amount of games he did being a main contributor to the way the season went. Kucherov and price missed more games than petey did. Many teams have their best players go down for significant periods of time and still make it, it's what separates the good teams from the bad teams.
People think I'm anti benning, I'm not. I dissect each trade, each signing, each transaction separately and not as a whole. What am I is anti-excuse. - Codes1087
And I still think Price is more important to the Habs. Which is what you asked. |

Toronto doesn't make that trade. I think Reilly is a hell of a good defenseman and that isn't enough.
Whether it's Brackett or Benning (not wanting to get into that debate). The value in the first 3 rounds shouldn't be messed with. If we look at "re-drafts", both madden and hoglander are re-drafted in the 1st round by many people. I'd like to continue that trend of getting great value on 2nd and 3rd round picks and not keep sending them away |

That's fair. Many would argue he isn't because his stats were career lows this year. My point still was, teams suffer injuries to their stars and still perservere, the canucks aren't in a place where they can. To me it's nothing but an excuse. |
