Just curious, as I do not have a "local team", do I get free reign to choose, are am I bound by geography and must choose the closest?

What do you mean you're "stuck?" No one's forcing you to be a Sabres fan. There are 31 other teams you can choose to follow, courtesy of NHL.TV or NHL Center Ice.

If they go the Bruce route he might stick around longer, plus it might keep certain players around

For example if Quinn get's hired they keep Jack (would be dumb IMO but it's possible) so then you don't have to take the best forward on the board you take Power and move on.

If they keep Granato, you have to take a center because Eichel is gone

You have to think short and long term

The cupboard is bare all around sadly

I think you are missing on risto. Off the ice anyways. He's very prideful and wants to be a nhl captain. Really isnt a harder working guy ( other than jack) from what I heard.

No, I'm not. I haven't watched a full Sabres game in over 2 years and haven't been to a game in almost 3 years (home win vs. Montreal, during that 10-game win streak).

Since they're so bad, I don't watch them. No one is FORCING me to watch their games or follow any news coverage about them. I was simply remarking to Batman on the fact that, saying you're "stuck" with this team is a preposterous statement, given that there are 31 other options available to you.

Same. I don't get the sense that Adams is a pushover. He reiterates a theme of community, a bunch of guys running in the same direction, guys who truly want to be here.

That doesn't line up with 'I'll do anything to placate Jack."
