Same. I don't get the sense that Adams is a pushover. He reiterates a theme of community, a bunch of guys running in the same direction, guys who truly want to be here.
That doesn't line up with 'I'll do anything to placate Jack." - TheSabresTaco
Beane and McDermott were saying similar things around 2017/2018 and fans (and local media) scoffed at them. |

One of the few things I picked up from his presser is that it's the Pegula's, not Jacks - Stripes77
Fixed it for you. We all know Adams is just a puppet |

Is it placating Jack if he wants the organization to build a winning team before he retires?
I think not. - IonSabres
I dont think there would be any way to read a Quinn hiring as anything other than placating Jack. Playing hardball with Eichel's neckbones tells me that Eichel's desires are secondary to Adams's plans |

It is if they hire Quinn, and the whole world knows it |

The team belongs to the Pegulas. Fans are simply along for the ride |

The difference is, they didn't have a player like Eichel on their team then. You can't really compare the QB to a position in hockey but both Allen and Eichel are the faces of their franchises and all stars in the league. I can't see them handline Allen the way Adams is handling Eichel |

Eichel appears, based on reports, that he has his set way of wanting to go forward with his injury, regardless of what his and the team doctors are preaching. It's hardball and there's little reason to believe that he wants to be here anymore, and that lies upon Terry, Kim and all of their poor hires.

Is Beane a puppet? - RichardRoma
Beane had experience in his role and came in and told the Pegula's leave the football decisions to us.
Adams had very little experience and worked for the Sabres as a scapegoat. He fell on his sword for the jersey and anniversary stuff then got named GM after MANY reports said the Pegula's wanted someone they could "trust"
Haven't heard one thing about the Pegula's getting in the way of signing or keeping a Bills player. Can't say the same about the Sabres |

I wonder, would it be possible for season ticket holders to sue the Pegulas, or bring them before some sort of tribunal (think testifying before Congress), because of how bad the team has been for the last 10 years? |

No, I'm not. I haven't watched a full Sabres game in over 2 years and haven't been to a game in almost 3 years (home win vs. Montreal, during that 10-game win streak).
Since they're so bad, I don't watch them. No one is FORCING me to watch their games or follow any news coverage about them. I was simply remarking to Batman on the fact that, saying you're "stuck" with this team is a preposterous statement, given that there are 31 other options available to you. - RichardRoma
So you attack other fans of the team while admitting you have abandoned them.
Got it. |

It would be fascinating if Eichel went ahead with the surgery against their wishes and dared the Sabres to void his contract |

So, the solution is: they need to sell the Sabres and just stick with the Bills? |

Pretending that Quinn is somehow better than BBQ, Granato et al is a complete farce. Hiring him gives you a completely false sense of security that Eichel will somehow be happy to play here just because you hired his college HC.

Beane manages the Pegulas better. There's no question there.

And they can spin it any way they want. The entire hockey universe would see right through it. If he was somehow just killing it as a coach, fine. But he's mediocre at best. |

They wouldn't. They'd suspend him indefinitely and maybe trade him in a few years. Have fun, Jack

It's the Sabres. Hiring Quinn and still losing Eichel is a definite possibility here.

Remember the very meek "fan protest" a few years ago? That's probably what you'd get. The fans are worse about it they're just starting not to care. |

They already know what to do with Jack. The next coach should know he's gone. The questions Kevyn and Jason should be asking is, based upon some of these offers for a Jack return, how are you going to guide these players to the playoffs?
