No
Get rid of Holtby and role with Demko and DiPietro.
DP can't be any worse than Holtby was for us. |

Some players are, but could be better off in the long run not making the jump due to lack of playtime. |

Not only do a disagree with the overall moves, but there is no way in hell this is anything more than GM mode in an NHL video game.
Hamilton, Laine, and Seth Jones? Lol come on - Codes1087
You missed the underlined of possible not probable and responded with hyperbolic video game GMing. You are so stuck to cap strapped narrative.
This is not I like this player let me add him scenario. CBJ has no choice but to trade these players and no one is giving up assets if they don't sign long term. CBJ needs locked in players. Deal at draft possible.
As for Hamilton he's UFA and Canucks have Cap to sign him bridging Petey and QH. If Canucks pull off a draft day deal then he could find the win now and still get paid offer attractive.
Again, its just possible and the probable route is drafting and small UFA signings. BUT, JB said they can be aggressive in off season so that's a swing for it scenario. |

I was joking with Don but seriously I was talking with someone the other day and who we select this draft will help us down the road. We will try to fix the teams shortcomings this year with trades and to a lesser extent free agency.

What are you talking about? CBJ gets some bubble players, scraps, and 1st rounders. They're totally going to give up their two best players! - NewYorkNuck
Schmidt and JTM are not scraps. CBJ forced to trade. But enjoy your circus act. |

Nobody is taking Holtby. If you give him the net maybe he gets in a groove. I guess if you actually believe this is a playoff team then just run the same guys out there again with new coaches. |

Man is it ever useless to converse with you. Differing opinion and you automatically try and put words in people's mouths and change the topic it the same time.
Our core is a playoff capable core. Improve the D and bottom 6 and they are, at worst, a bubble team. |

None of this is possible, or probable. Also, what the hell are you talking about? There is no space to add an $8+m FA D, along with two $5m players added in trade, another year of Lui+Lu. |

No. With Abbotsford nearby keep Mikey down to be a starter. Pull him up as needed and let him play boatloads of games.
This isn't aimed at you but for some of the earlier posts a I read. I think we should keep Myers because he has all the tools a guy like Shaw, being a Dman himself, can work with to elevate. |

I like Myers too . He is a 30 -40 pt guy . Does a little of everything well , nothing great.
It sounds like Canucks have an actual plan to get better defensively instead of like years past of go out and try your best.
