Hall really hurt his value this past season. In fact he keeps consistently chipping away at it. I’m not sure if Boston will sign him.
- Cptmjl

After this series they let Hall walk and try to sign Palmieri.

Should be another good one, but man the Lightning are so deep and talented with the best goalie in the world. The Isles will make it hard on them for sure but at the end of the day I thinks its Tampa in 6 again

And probably the best Dman in the world as well.

I can’t envision him wearing another team’s shirt and I would imagine any new manager wouldn’t be happy losing Kane but this team looked lost the last 4 or so months. It’s been stated Levy doesn’t want to sell him but he’s asked, and he’s certainly earned the right to play for a Champions League team. It’s hard to believe Poch had us in the final just 3 years ago but we dumped him like yesterday’s trash. Best manager we’ve had.
- potvin05

I hope they keep Kane but doubt it. Like you said he should play in the Champions league and someone is going to throw a poop ton of money at Levy. Harry was tops in assists and goals in the Premiership this year I believe. It would be like when Bale left for RM but worse. Ponch I agree was the best we have had in a long time. Team bought in to his system and played great. Jose was a waste imho.

Right, like I'm really trying to be a troll. You have it all figured out don't ya genius? It's pretty sad that you bring up a tragic accident that took a young promising life. Perhaps it should have been you driving that car into the wall. The world probably would be a better place. Now go away kid cause ya bother me! I wasn't sure who I was going to root for in the upcoming series, but a POS like you makes it easy now for me to root for the Bolts!! All together now.......LET'S Go BOLTS!!!
- Phillywhiteout

Who shives a git who you’re routing for? Fact is in the PO’s you’re definitely not routing for the Flyers because they suck ass!
Thanks for stopping by loser.

Mourinho was a waste from the beginning and Levy should have known. His management techniques were no good for the players they have. His park the bus poop was never gonna work with the fullbacks they have and, not to mention, it’s not in the club’s dna to play that style of footie. You’re probably right, the time and the price is right for Kane to go to greener pastures and we start over (again).

Yes unfortunately.
I want to go to their new stadium and see a game so bad. I was lucky enough to see them at White Hart Lane a few years back.

You're that easy, huh?
Just a tug of your string and you're back in an instant. Thanks for playing, puppet. I don't respond to trolls often, but you were an easy mark. Enjoy golf season kid. See ya next March when 'Philthy' fans start caring again.

Wow that’s awesome. I got to see them at Red Bull Stadium when they played a friendly against Roma a few years back. I would love to see them in London.

I’m a die hard Flyers fan, so of course I think it’s legally binding that I can’t root for the Isles, but I can’t help but be impressed with their hockey these past couple of seasons. It’s a well put together team, with a hell of a coach running the show.

Caps fans down here are so bitter they let him walk over money which they could’ve easily afforded.

Looking forward to a great series.

Sane fans of other teams are always welcome here. Yup, we feel pretty lucky to have Trotz coaching the Isles, and Lou L. as general manager. They have turned the franchise around.

Don't worry, you'll be in the same boat in another 10 days or so. I guess NBC must really love these semifinal matchups! Putting most of the games on the USA Network. What's up with that?

I am looking at last year's matchup as a guide of what to expect. I expect a similar series, but there are a couple of key differences between this year and the previous.

1) Healthy Stamkos. The "pick your poison" lineup is back. Last year, the Bolt's second line was very muted. Thankfully, the third line stepped up. This year, the second line has more finishing power.

2) Hobbled Hedman. Hedman is not his usual overwhelming self. It is obvious something is bothering him and his 5v5 play has dropped considerably. Hedman is the rock the Lightning's defense is built around. Thankfully, McDonagh has stepped up and been an absolute beast.

3) Right-side D is a hot mess. Last year, the Bolts had Shattenkirk and Bogosian eating minutes. Both were better than advertised and have not been replaced with equals. Savard has been a disappointment. Rutta is a warm body. Schenn is a pylon. Cernak is the glue holding that side together. If something happens to Cernak, that entire right side defense will become a major liability.

I honestly can't believe that a team as good as yours employs Luke Schenn!! That dude was a pylon when he played here in Philly!

1. Also, islanders will have more then 15 hours rest between games and won’t have to fly between time zones for game 1 like they did last year after playing game 7 against Philly.
2. We don’t have Anders Lee.
3. Most likely don’t have Wahlstrom.

Im sure trotz will target your RD and hammer the hell out of Mcdonagh like we did to Boston with McAvoy and Carlo. He did it to us when he was the Caps coach. It’s just his MO.

Not a big secret the Lightning have a stacked, veteran, team that are heavily favored. Pretty much standard for the islanders match ups. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the islanders this hungry at least with this particular version ever. They’re committed to winning anyone who has watched them can see it. Question is whether that will translate to winning this series? I’m not so sure but I’m pretty pumped to find out.

I think they brought in Schenn for sandpaper. I can't think of any other reason to ice that guy. Well, that and he's cheap. The only way to get a cheaper d-man is to grab a random hobo from the bus station and pay him in beer.

Tampa's left defense is stacked. It's right is weak AF.

Agreed. Game one will be a more even affair. No weird bubble poop to deal with.

I don't care what the talking heads are saying. Most of them are picking Tampa, but most of them also had Montreal getting hosed in the first round. What worries me about the Isles this year is the experience of last year. Last year's Islanders were up against a juggernaut determined to win, based on past failures like 2015 and then getting swept by Columbus in their best season ever. Some real heartbreak had to happen and that tempered the team that won last year. This Isles roster has that bitter taste in their mouth from last year. How motivating that is cannot be understated. This is gonna be an interesting series.

Agree on everything just not sure which way it’ll go? I honestly wasn’t overly confident with Boston and we won that in 6 so who knows? This team does find an extra gear when it needs too.

I wasn't either. The Isles and Boston are so close I think that series could go either way. Thankfully it went in our favor.

Tampa will be tougher, but I believe the Isles can find a way to win.

I tried that for a couple years, but the pay wasn't very good and it became boring after awhile. Thanks for the advice though!
