I am more interested in Megna/Chaput, but that would be sweet to have all 3 of those guys back on the roster.
Progress. - Reubenkincade
I wouldn’t want Granny back as a full timer, I just thought he’d be a good candidate for the Abby AHL team and as a call-up option for when injuries hit. You need a couple of solid AHL vets for the prospects to play with. Playing with low skill checkers isn’t the best situation for prospects.
Sven played that role but now he’s gone. |

Too many fans think slotting in Miller is the easy fix. I disagree. He & Petey are a very good play driving duo.
Bo needs Boeser imo.
3rd line needs a good UFA C. - Nighthawk
Trade options also out there with cap crunches and expansion draft looming
Tyson Jost? BCHL kid squeezed out in Colorado behind MacK/Kadri/Compher
Booner Jenner? CBJ rebuild |

I’m thinking on size & skating for a 3C. Undecided still who fits that billing besides other skills.
Wennberg 6’2” 197lb if 3/3m gets it done
Jenner 6’2” 208lb works but at what cost? 1/3.75m cap hit |

Feel as if Col would trade Compher first because older, higher salary.
Lots of older mentors. Zajac, Bonino, Statsny, Getzlaf, Soderberg, Ryan, Brassard, Cizikas, Huala, Sheahan.
Pittsburgh has RFA's Zach Aston Reese, Teddy Blueger, Mark Jankowski, Evan Rodrigues. They won't be holding onto |

Could also be buyouts coming down the wire as well for vets. |

A lot of available players for bottom 6 centers. I wouldn't be trading for one unless obvious upgrade over free agents and the cost is cheap.
Shouldn't cost much to sign either since there is an abundance available. |

Funny how there are so many great options for rugged yet skilled bottom 6 players for cheap and yet so many teams get it wrong. Canucks are lucky to have had Beagle & Sutter the past few seasons, it will be tough to replicate that combo. |

I'd trade for one it if was a clear upgrade and they were young enough to grow with the team. |

It's so easy yet the longest tenured GM in Canucks history needs 2 more years to figure it out.

I agree. Although I’m not a fan of him, Gillis set salary breakdown of the team how it was to be structured according to roles. Unfortunately to gain the player’s agreement he handed out ntc’s like nobody’s business. - Shuswap Wap

It takes time to build. Now that the core is in place, it will be much easier to fill in around the edges. |

I am curious if anyone would trade Petey for Owen Power?

It’s hard for some to it took many teams a decade or more. I wish he trades for picks though already |

That is the easy quick answer, I know.
That 7.5 mil that you were going to spend on Pettersson could be put towards offering Dougie Hamilton a contract.
I have to admit I don't like Hughes as our top Dman .
I would rather a top 3 of Hamilton Power and Hughes over Hughes Hamonic and Schmidt. Like I said just a hypothetical .
