As I’ve mentioned to Nighty 4 consecutive years, we are not trading down. Benning will have a prospect he has ranked at 5 available at 9 and make the pick. - CanuckDon
I agree 100% but if it happened I would only be comfy doing it for someone like Nolan Patrick and 13 or Cernak and something. |

Abbotsford Albatrosses
Abbotsford Ankle Biters
So many good names |

Not bad
Appreciate the effort.
My only critiques are that it seems like a fairly 'soft' team on paper,
And the D still bites.
I doubt that Hyman signs at that term/price.

Ya, I'd rather they get a proper righty through a trade.
Hughes/*trade*
Schmidt/Myers
Rathbone/Hamonic
Or whatever mix and match pairings work best. Schmidt on the left, his natural side, should be better, no? |

Slotting in Hyman & Pod isn’t soft.
Cannot fix everything at once. The D will take a lil longer & be next. A year older & together will show some growth.
There is more cap left to top off offers. |

Fair enough if fine with a hole at 3C. Whom for what? Why not a UFA? |

ok, not everyone on the team is soft, sure.
I'm tempering my expectations for Pod.
I'm glad you've taken him off the top 6 at the least

He’s already the fourth best winger on the team. It may mean starting on the third line until he earns the trust of the coaching staff, but it won’t take long. |

Not a UFA as that's a shorter term solution (though maybe Adam Larsson?). Would rather they target someone that can stay/grow with the team a while |

How many points did those guys get in the KHL? Less than Podkolzin, that's for sure. |

Well yes, of course it's possible, but it's also not a reality, yet.
I'm comfortable penciling him into a 3rd line role at this point and hope that he can exceed my expectations...but Hoglander, Pearson, Boeser and JTM has proven they can play, so i don't see how you can put a teenage rookie above them at this point.

Miller
Boeser
Höglander
Podkolzin
Pearson - but Pearson will get the minutes to start at least.
Who do you have 3rd, Lind? Or are you thinking Ferland will re-emerge next year? |

Ferland is dooooone. If he was actually healthy and able, he'd be a big boost to this team (though the cap would be another hoop..) |
