Am of the opinion that Girardi was the main reason donnie g was successful in making these sabres look like an nhl team.

I think Danny did a fine job. He didn't turn the wheel but he definitely greased it. There are other guys who are just as capable. Good for Danny for getting a look to be an official assistant. I wouldn't mind it if it was here, but I don't need it to happen.

The biggest point to be made here is that Dan Girardi is irreplaceable
- TheSabresTaco

Well now it’s not only the players who prefer to be elsewhere, Gallant didn’t want to even interview here.

It’s not unreasonable to suggest Adams will fail to deliver this off season, still going through the process of being required to involve Terry and Kim.

Point could also be, you have a decent coach and they will let him go and hire a high school coach instead…

Hearing the @BuffaloSabres would like to interview Jack Capuano for head coaching position, but the @Senators are not allowing him the opportunity.

Translation: he doesn't want to interview for the job, but Ottawa says "you can't talk to him" so he doesn't look like an bumhole.

The Rangers did the same thing with Chris Drury when the Sabres tried to interview him after they ultimately hired Jason Botterill.

A big part of my premise for removing meatballs' interim tag was based on girardi being on the bench with him. I think he made that much of a difference

Maybe that's the play here.

Allow Girardi to walk and bring in Dean-O.

Just speculating.

Nah, Harbor center employee turned NHL GM deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I don't need every coach on the planet to want this job. Plenty of guys have already interviewed, including BBQ.

I hate Terry and Kim just as much as the next guy, but considering it's their organization, they should be kept in the loop on their coaching search. They were involved with the football hires as well. How much influence they have over the final choice is a legitimate question and can definitely be concerning. So, hopefully, Jason and Kevyn are holding the weight of the decision and not Uncle Terry and his baker.

Maybe the Sabres don't want him back as a full time assistant. Or maybe they do. We don't know. He has the right to explore different opportunities.

We sat here and laughed when no name Donnie, no name MFE and no name Girardi got thrown into the coaching spots. And now everyone wants Donnie to come back.

Point is, none of us know how these guys, the next guys will perform. Kevyn and Jason seem extremely focused on fit over almost anything. That's a positive. Find the right fit for this group of players.

Dumping on kagm is warranted based upon the sh!tshow we've seen the last 10 years. However, for as skeptical as I am, and for as questionable as his rookie moves have been (Quinn pick) I'm willing to see how it plays out. Am also well aware that we have no choice in the matter, but I'm trying to keep an open mind in order to keep my blood pressure down

I mean you guys are right.

The Sabres have shown that they can be trusted.

I take it all back.

Adams for Harbor center employee of the month.

Get his picture on the wall stat.

Trading back and drafting Luke Hughes is a move that I feel like most fans won’t agree with but could be better in the long run

We 'let him do his job' his first season, and he failed miserably.

Let's see how he does in season 2.

Would you say Kevyn is doing his job by ignoring all applicants because the intern did a pretty decent job?

Agree. But he also proved to be a strong building block at the nhl level for the coaching staff. That's a great foundational piece for the re-re-build.

I cannot get behind Harbor center employee turned GM.

The first thing he says "I have a lot of learning to do".

The awful head coach had more say over the roster than Adams did.

Also "This is unacceptable" coach stays on for the another two months.

I guess Drury didn't do his job, since they already hired their coach.
