Jesus let the guy do his job, b!thing about not hiring anyone yet, but would be b!tching if he hired someone without looking or to quick. - Buff36
I'm not totally understanding the pissing and moaning right now to be totally honest.

The Sabres literally interviewed everyone just to say that granato is going to get hired - Sabretooth9
Again I ask, is Kevyn doing his job by ignoring all applicants?

I mean you guys are right.
The Sabres have shown that they can be trusted.
I take it all back.
Adams for Harbor center employee of the month.
Get his picture on the wall stat. - ImThatGuy
You have No say in the matter, just like any of us. It's not like you are gonna leave depending on who he hires or doesn't. You don't like Adams fine, but he's the GM of this team now, so get over it. |

Crying about something that hasn't happened yet (Girardi) is piling on just to pile on. Plenty on here do it. Any chance to b!tch, right?
There's a point where it's like, OK we (frank)ing get it, they're bad. They've been bad.
Let the man do his job.
Second guessing every little move before the six other moves that are going to happen, happen, is sad.
But I guess that's your right as fans who's crystal balls are obviously never wrong, so have at it.
I'm not crying about Dan (frank)ing Girardi, when not one of you can name even ten percent of all the assistants in the league.

I guess Drury didn't do his job, since they already hired their coach. - ImThatGuy
They're stalling because they want Brind'Amour.
It would be very Sabres to continue stalling and have Brind'Amour stay in Carolina while Granato decides to move on. |

Columbus and NYR identified their guys very quickly and their coaches were fired after Kreuger. |

I cannot get behind Harbor center employee turned GM.
The first thing he says "I have a lot of learning to do".
The awful head coach had more say over the roster than Adams did.
Also "This is unacceptable" coach stays on for the another two months. - ImThatGuy
What's he supposed to do? Turn down one of 31 GM positions? They threw him to the wolves with nothing more than a kids pocket knife in Krueger and he ended up with a lot of scars because of it. |

So just say you trust absolutely nothing they do, which in turn should mean that you will hate all of their hires, all of their picks and all of their trades, and leave it at that.

IM not blaming Adams at all for taking the job. He would do what any of use would have.
Doesn't mean I have to like him.

The fact that we're using "very sabres" in a negative light is very disconcerting. No doubt warranted but after 10 years, still very troubling. |

We 'let him do his job' his first season, and he failed miserably.
Let's see how he does in season 2. - kingcong39
Considering Ralph made a lot of personnel decisions, I'm not ready to totally lay all of that on Kevyn. He did some good things, some not so good things.
All I'll say is that he has a lot to prove.

What else do we have, please tell me. The seasons over they all failed. And yes I am gonna give him his 2nd season. Blame him all you want, but there's a sh!t ton to go around. |

ME at seasons end : They need to interview some people and not just hire Granato
Everyone here at seasons end: You are an idiot look at what he and his staff have done, they need to bring them all back.
Me now: Just get your guy in here already, If Its Granato bring back the entire staff.
Everyone now: Don't be stoopid, Adams needs to do his job and interview 50 candidates or else he is not doing his job. Adams is the bestest GM ever.

So now you want to fault Kevyn for exploring his options more than Columbus and the Rags. Got it.

Am of the opinion that Girardi was the main reason donnie g was successful in making these sabres look like an nhl team. - Michael Pachla
Good point mike. Its really hard to tell who set up the successful system?
This could definitely buffalo the Sabres
Donnie or dannie ? |

We all hate this team because of ultimately Terry and Kim did to it, either directly or indirectly.
We know we're going to suck. It now comes down to how we suck next season that makes it palatable for now and the future, or ultimate misery. Kevyn's job is to get to the former.
But hating on a fluid hiring process is ridiculous. |

My point is, let the man do his job. He's got a TON on his plate.
But I have zero doubt that he'll work just as hard at this job as he did being a guy who probably had no business playing 540 games in the NHL. |

This literally didn't occur.
Some people want Donnie back. I think Donnie did a good job and I wouldn't hate his return. In fact I'd welcome it.
But, once again, Kevyn is not doing his job if he's not trying to find the best possible candidate, and I for one have said that since the second the season ended. |

The defense hadn't looked this organized since at least Disco. Having them move the puck making snap decisions allowed the offense to get rolling
At least that's how I look at it. |

Having an open mind towards Adams and possibly Donnie Brasco is entertaining but ignoring the notion that Terry and Kim have final say is where the mistakes are made. It’s so obvious yet Terry and Kim continue to micro-manage.
Adams could have great ideas but still needs ownership approval, why?
There is no way McBeane allowed Terry to over rule them, the NFL definitely guided the Pegulas in the hiring process. The NHL failed to help and now we have failed owners with trust issues, leading to only hiring friends and family, and we are hoping things go right this off season.
This is a total rebuild no doubt about it, pending moves made this summer it could be 3 seasons or another 5-7 before this organization can compete. |
