Best coached for sure
Most well rounded? Nah, that's Vegas, Tampa - sbroads24
I don't think Tampa and Vegas are "well-rounded" - I think they have much better depth than the Islanders. But don't mistake depth for "well-rounded". Any team with Ryan Reaves is automatically disqualified. Tampa Bay? They're the dirtiest team in the league, not the most "well-rounded".

Tampa and Vegas have more good players than the Islanders, and can win games in any way
Tampa can beat you 5-4, or 2-1. They can play an open track meet, or a gritty slug fest. That's well rounded to me
They have a Vezina goalie, Hart caliber forward, and Norris D.
The Isles can't |

Yeah, Jarry making one of the worst plays of the season, handing a puck over to an Isle in double OT was just how Trotz drew it up.
Jesus, I would rather you guys win than a team that's 100 mil over the cap win a 2nd cup but Isles fans make it tough. - sbroads24
It’s all luck man. Those kinds of plays never happen in the playoffs. Luck, refs, goaltenders.
We can lose the next four games to Tampa. I actually think there’s a pretty good chance we’ll lose tonight. I’m not spouting off. It’s the playoffs that’s how it goes. I just think it’s funny that you two clowns think we’ve had playoff success for three years straight due to luck. That’ll never not be funny. Luck, goaltenders, and refs. Same thing every season. |

Yes, a few games the Isles won this post season has been lucky.
I have never commented on previous years so idk what you're deal is
I apologize for not picking the 4th seed in the division to beat the #1 seed |

So fleury gave up a god awful goal game 1 vs the wild and they still won the series.
So looking at jarry because of one bad goal. Doesn’t change the entire series |

I love the way the isles have played under trotz. Very good team, is anders Lee done for the year or could we see him back? |

What I am saying is that the players on the Islanders are more well-rounded players as a whole. They can all chip the puck in the net and play a solid defensive game and they're great along the walls.
What I'm saying isn't as complicated as you're making it out to be. |

Apparently I’m just waiting for life to come to me though. Not like I don’t work my Richard off in my personal life.
Good judge of character though.
But please tell us again how you broke a nail slapping a guy at a traffic light for chirping your wife for being foreign, who id assume doesn’t speak or understand a word of English to put up with your rambling medicated self, that was a good one - Pegullaville

Jarry spotted the Isles two games.
He saved 5 goals less than expected.
The Penguins were better off with a card board cutout of a goalie in net. |

I'm not.
This is a pointless debate.
Pittsburgh outplayed them in most of the games.
For god sakes the Isles put up 28 total shots in a double OT game, and won giving up 50.

And I'd vehemently disagree as you'd be hard pressed to find more well rounded players than Mark Stone, Alex Pietrangelo, Rielly Smith, Shea Theodore, Cirelli, Hedman etc.
Either way you define it. it's wrong. |

Dude yeah of course Vegas's and Tampa's top-6 is more well-rounded, for (frank)'s sake, I'm saying that from top-to-bottom, the Islanders are a more well-rounded team.
Just like how Bob Evans is a more well-rounded dining experience than Red Lobster, since Red Lobster is catered toward only one type of food and Bob Evans is that comfort food that leaves you satisfied instead of pissing out your arse. |

Unfortunately not. We’ve been playing without our captain and leading goal scorer the entire playoffs. There were some rumors he was coming back but it was BS. Would’ve been nice to have him come back and be at least a little bit over the cap with Tampa doing what they’re doing. |

And I couldn't disagree more as Tampa and Vegas are the two deepest teams in hockey besides Colorado, and both of them win games in any way they need to.
The Isles are the best coached team. That's the only thing they have on the others

for god sakes they both won more games and have been to stanley cups and have guys winning awards.

Man that Peter Jackson was lucky when he made the Lord of the Rings trilogy and it turned out to be good. Lucky that all of the lighting and sound and cinematography came together to make a fantasy epic trilogy. Lucky he worked on all those other films first and got the bad luck out of the way.
Just a roll of the dice and we could have had the Three Ninjas trilogy.
^^That is how ridiculous you guys look calling the Islanders "lucky" after 3 straight years of making at least the second round of the playoffs. This, after John "Captain" Tavares could hardly get them into the 1st round, and immediately after he bolted in free agency, and this after having missed the playoffs the previous 2 seasons.
It was "luck" that they signed Barry Trotz after Washington let him go - I'll even say they were lucky that Washington even let him go.
Everything after that? That ain't luck dude. Their coach has made the playoffs 7 years in a row, with a Stanley Cup in the middle.
That isn't luck. |

I'm not gonna sit here and argue this with you.

A healthy lee puts you guys over the top. He's one of my favorite players, a tank around the net.
That really sucks, either way I still think you guys have a strong chance at winning the cup. |
