On another note, I think the "too many men" rule needs to change somehow. I'd hate to give refs too much latitude in making something objective, but I feel like that rule needs objectivity. |

Agreed it should be changed to “too many players”. The refs shouldn’t assume the genders. |

The refs and lineys should also be required to not suck. |

I agree. There are times the PLAYER coming on the PLAYER coming off are both basically not even involved in the play.
EDIT: You could even argue that there are times when both players (coming on and coming off) are so far removed from the play that the team guilty of too many men is shorthanded for a hot second. |

Advanced stats nerds don't dislike him, they dislike his contract. Most if not everyone think he's a good player, just not worth his contract.
Oof... too many men on that Lightning goal lol. Refs strike again. - j.boyd919
Zucker is a much bigger issue, he was actually pure trash this year getting paid significantly more, while Tanev was actually a useful role player. |

In DY+4 Letang put up 13 points in 23 playoff games to win a cup. So yeah perfect comparable. - Feds91Stammer
Lol yeah Poj shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence as the pens all time best Dman hahaha. (Based on pens career, Coffey doesn’t count) I think he will be black Petterson. Ceiling is what we hoped white Petterson would be |

Pens won’t win poop until they get Tatar and then scratch him in the playoffs. |

That's kind of where I lean, I think he'll be a decent support player for a more offensively minded partner but more for a 2nd-3rd pair. More likely 3rd pair imo. - j.boyd919
Yeah and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If he becomes a NHL regular in the bottom 4 or even on bottom pair somewhere, thats success. If he manages to accomplish this as a Penguin on an ELC, then fvck yeah!, but I'm not ready to declare him at that level yet. |

Since it sounds like Eichel is out of reach for the Pens...
Guentzel for Bertuzzi
Zucker / Pettersson for futures

he's really a fascinating case, his game should translate into the playoffs(obviously doesn't have the east size/strength) but he drives play, creates shot in the high danger zones and yet apparently disappoints his coaches in the playoffs.
Good buy low target this off-season |
