Pearl Jam at Harpo’s in the early 90’s, Ben Harper and (I think) Arcade Fire at The Victoria Curling Club, Jamie Liddell at a little club in Calgary were some little guys who were about to make it big. Some other great acts were Sweatwater (from Seattle) - they were so cool. Album is called Superfriends, and I’ve seen Meat Puppets a few times who always put on a great show.

on Pettersson and Hughes contracts : Petey will get done, could be looking at 3 years. They are grinding away, lots of optimism. On Hughes, it is more of a challenge, not same term as Pettersson.

Looking over the past 8 years of defensemen. Burns, Karlsson, Yandle, Barrie have all been paid their worth for playing offence and they have struggled defensively, now their contracts don't look so hot.

Now with Reilly being told to leave by Leafs fans. Shattenkirk being bought out by NYR.

Jake Gardiner barely even allowed to play anymore.

I have a feeling that Ruby is going to think that Hughes is going to be overpaid the moment he signs his contract.

Yes, no brainer. Market value for getting off Loui’s final year probably *is* the 9th OA pick anyway, so it’s getting Hamilton done for free.
