we never really talk about it but I definitely see Zach Hyman's name thrown out a lot in terms of the Rangers, and not just Larry Brooks - jimbro83
The only way we could bring him in ( and I wouldn't be upset if this happened ) would be for Kreider to get traded ( Boston? ) to clear cap space. Absent that, it just can't happen. |

is Hyman exclusively a left wing? has he moved around?

I only have evidence from watching games on this, but not that I know of. He has been pretty much stapled on Matthew's left side to do the dirty work. |

James Mirtle says that Hyman is definitely done with the Leafs and may command 6 million a year on the open market |

He’s a Jasper Fast type player that can play on any line but is more physical and has better hands. |

Yeah, but I think that's just economic shuffling. Capfriendly shows that the buyout to him each of those years is $0.00. - Tonybere
No that's his cap hit. Same as DiPietro. If you click their names you'll see what they're actually getting paid. Richards is getting a little over $1M and DP is at about $1.5M |

Difference is Fast is making 2 million per year, is he really worth 6 million per or more? |

No. - JRR1285
Yea I would have rather just signed Fast cheaper than go for a contract like that for him |

I wonder if letting Fast go is one of the things Dolan was annoyed at Gorton/JD about

It seems to me he's a more steady, lower-producing, slightly more physical Kreider.
I'd rather they just sit Kreids down and explain to him how the team has changed and his role must as well. |

Dolan probably doesn't even know who Fast is. |
