Empty beer cans are one thing, but I saw some pretty full water bottles out there. That could do some damage. (frank)ing Islanders. - TC88
lol, well, I think if they make the finals they'll be giving Cups instead of cans

this is a little nugget in Carp's column today
"By the way, it was Panarin who frequently asked coach David Quinn, if not begged or demanded, that Blackwell be on his right rather than Kakko, among others. Quinn usually deferred"

Don’t love that, but an easy quote to overreact to. Panarin needs someone to dig out pucks and put them on his stick. Kakko improved in that aspect, but don’t blame Panarin for thinking that way. Just not great for the kids confidence I’m sure.

One thing all fanbases underestimate is the back n forth between multimillion dollar superstars and coaches. The days of players following the coaches orders without question are long gone. The tug of war between management, coaches and players must be a sight to see behind closed doors. |

David Quinn really had no chance to succeed considering all the circumstances he had to face
being the coach after they sent "the letter" and sold everyone off
only 1 normal season of the 3 seasons he coached
trying to incorporate all those kids into the lineup without benefit of training camp and exhibition games this season but also making the vets happy at the same time
impossible situation for him to succeed, he got a raw deal, but this situation needs a veteran to handle it |

Gallant will automatically get respect of team and he won't be dealing with any of that "I want to play with Blackwell and not Kakko" BS. Quinn was a rookie coach who got treated as such from his players.
I love Panarin, but I'm sure he can be a pain in the ass, and chirp in the coaches ear about who he wants to play with.

I mean he was hired to be a developmental coach. That is what he did. He wasn't really brought in to win. |

Carp says Seattle eyeballing Kevin Rooney more than any other Ranger
and it looks like something broke down with the Kraken and Rick Tocchet, he will not be their first head coach |

I'm not too impressed with Coleman in this series. Hyman will be too expensive given his current contract. I also noticed Reaves has been scratched the past two games. |

Friedman thinks it might be Tony Granato, but also hedged by mentioning a few others while saying it probably would not be Tocchet. |

Agree he was one of the first players I thought the Rangers should try to add. He played well prior to the Isles series. |

A couple underwhelming playoff games shouldn't be end all be all for Coleman. He's done well for them the past two seasons. At a good price, he would be nice. Honestly, I feel Drury is looking for a top 6 guy. I expect a big time hockey trade this off season. |
