the Isles cap is a little interesting, they have just over 5 million in space and they need to sign Beauvillier, Sorokin and Pelech

they can count on putting Boychuk's 6 million on LTIR once season starts, so they really have around 11 million in space

stuck with Andrew Ladd's cap hit

what they need is for Seattle to take Leddy, Bailey or Eberle

they need to lose one of those 5 million guys

both Sorokin and Shesterkin's contracts are gonna be interesting

Lou really has been so average at best. Funny that he won best gm. Trotz carried that team. The Leo on the first line is brutal but otherwise turned that team around big time

I never remember GM of the Year ever even being a thing until Lou won it this year

Think award started in 2009? Kind of silly award. It s not a 1 year kind of thing. Not to mention many of the players on roster come from the GMs before the current one.

yeah, it's like Nils Lundkvist winning the Calder next year being the catalyst for Drury winning it

Personally, I dont think they can afford to lose Bailey, he was so important to them through the playoffs. I think Eberle should be the one to go.

Untill NYR gets that guy...they ain't winning no Stanley Cup. I love Zibby, but he ain't leading this team through a playoff run. Panarin isn't either.

Panarin seems to change his game come PO time, but I see your point. They need a few guys who can take it another level

Detroit gonna be interesting to watch.

50 million in cap space and 12 draft picks to throw around

I know he’s annoyed he can never get into one of the top picks but I think they’ll be big factors this summer.

WPG could be a target for a trade. They can’t protect all their D and will have to expose one of Demelo Stanley or Niku. Reading their blog they’d prefer to protect Demelo. Stanley is a huge LHD that’s a shutdown type, 6’7 230 and hit his stride a little bit this year. Zac Jones+ could be interesting to them so they don’t lose him for nothing.

Logan Stanley wouldn't be a short term thing on LD until Robertson or another young guy is ready though, he'd be the guy

I wouldn't dimiss it though

Despite him playing his whole career in our division, I’ve never paid much attention to Zajac. Could any of you see him as a bottom 6 center target in free agency? Looks to be very solid on draws and could bring a veteran presence. Or maybe I’m stupid.

to me this sounds like a team with absolutely no money

Frank Seravalli on TSN1260 - Coyotes asked Conor Garland’s agent to put together some salary proposals. He presented them two different options, that was on May 20. #Yotes haven’t even answered, haven’t responded, haven’t picked up the phone to even acknowledge they received them

what a (frank)ing joke of an organization. No wonder that Chayka kid just straight up quit.
