Its been me and Burkie who have been open to the idea of trading Miller.

I personally think Robertson is a stud and could be atleast a top 4 pairing LHD. I really want to see what a pairing of Robertson / Schneider will be in a year or 2.

Here's where situation sort of favors us a bit. Lets say we trade Miller in a blockbuster deal for a 1C. What we can do is trade for Morgan Reilly as a one year rental to play left of Trouba. We try to bring in Oleksiak as that physical stalwart for the 3rd pairing along side either Nils or Schneider.

I definitely advocate that part of the idea

extremely decent, just signed forever, I'd do something similar for Zibinajed including the NMC in a heartbeat

What do you think the number would be pre-covid/flat cap world?

I cant see Zbad signing for less than $8-something

Their overall numbers are similar at face value but Zibanejad has been near or above PPG the last 3 seasons. RNH has been a bit more consistent over his career. Both are the same age.

Hopefully this means Zib could be in the 7 per range?

Edit forgot to answer your question. I think RNH would have been closer to 8 if things had progressed normally.

a little more money per year, but if the Rangers give 8 years with a full NMC the whole time, they should get a bargain, especially with Mika, he loves it here

They're even closer than I thought. But Zibanejad is much better on faceoffs.

I flagged this by mistake

Zib is obviously more of a goal scorer. But they're way closer than I thought likely due to Mika's monster years lately. Zib definitely has a higher ceiling but RNH has been really consistent.

So what do we do with our first rder? I wouldn’t mind trading it in a blockbuster, or using it to move up and get the center

#15 for Dvorak would be the type of deal I would love.

Picking someone at 15 and waiting a couple years for the kid isn’t something the org should be thinking imo. They should use this pick and turn into a now player.

I would agree that they seem unlikely to keep that pick. But it takes two teams to make a deal and who knows what the market will be like. Just need to wait and see.

I wouldnt give him a full NMC through out the whole contract. Id give him 5 years with NMC, and a 8-team NTC for the last 3 years.

Make it 12 teams and you have a deal.
