So what do we do with our first rder? I wouldn’t mind trading it in a blockbuster, or using it to move up and get the center

#15 for Dvorak would be the type of deal I would love.

Picking someone at 15 and waiting a couple years for the kid isn’t something the org should be thinking imo. They should use this pick and turn into a now player.

yeah I'll be surprised if we still pick 15th overall

Maybe Dvorak, but Hertl (if available) would be my first choice for C behind Zib.

I like Hertl too, but Dvorak has a great contract with term. I want a guy already signed and established where we have no more Qs at the position like we are on the right side D.

Side note: Cizikas, Goligoski and Hjarmalssom should all be on the rangers radar via UFA. Pair Nils with one of those vets on the 3rd pair in very nice

We need a new blog. Maybe they will start announcing staff hiring's soon? They don't have a ton of time between now and the draft.

I'm sure Jan has been busy but I think he'll get one up with Fox up for the Norris tonight

I agree, I think it may come down to the actual draft, if a team really wants somebody that hasn't been picked yet at 15, an offer will probably come up. Most likely if that happens, they trade down, and then try to package multiple picks in another deal.

Cant dispute the contract on Dvorak which is why hes a top choice to get for us. Question is, is he ready for the bigger responsibility to play 2C on a team ready to make an impact in the playoffs?

I like the physical game of Oleksiak for the 3rd pair.

Gonna be interesting to see the competition between Nils and Schneider for that last spot. However, it is totally possible that both are left to hone their games in Hartford and Smith is brought back for the bottom pair.

this is why I can't wait for this season to end and we get to it

I think I knew fairly well how Gorton would approach things, I just have absolutely no idea about Drury, it's very intriguing and nerve wrecking and exciting

I meant that more about the slow news on the Rangers end of things. I know Jan is always busy and appreciate whenever he can scrounge the time for a new blog.

I hope I'm wrong about Fox, it would be a nice silver lining on this season to walk away with a legit award like the Norris.

I think Fox has the same chance of winning the Norris that Montreal has at beating Tampa.

I think fox going pointless the last 5 games or so will ruin his chances of winning

I really want Fox to win it, but silver lining of him not winning it will be his next contract

Yeah, I was thinking about that when his offense dried up for a little. If he even just got 2-3 points he might have had too much of a lead to lose the award. Now it's a toss up.
