What?! Why?
- JRR1285

I’m kidding lol. I forget who thought I said that early in the season. I never said that

You’re right tho. Deangelo wouldn’t even sniff PP1

I’m talking about playing him before dealing him. This is not an argument about trading him without any value. That didn’t work this deadline.

I remember he had a hat trick and 5 pt game, I guess I’m the only one

- Slimtj100

Ah ok, thought you just meant trade him this summer

Now that we've settled this issue, DeAngelo shouldn't be the first question that comes up at Gallant's intro press conference ... or should it?

Christian Fischer, would come over from Arizona with Dvorak and Crouse. 6’2, 214lbs… 140 hits last season, Crouse (6’4, 220lbs… 155hits) and Fischer would be our 4th line wingers.

Also… what makes you think a team that was in the playoff semifinals are going to trade one of those guys? Hertl is on a team at a crossroads. Arizona is Arizona.

- aecliptic

I see. Yeah, Fischer would fill a need, if he can play, too. I literally know nothing about him.
I have no blind spot leading me to believe a trade for Schiefele is imminent or anything like that. Just a player I really like and would perfectly fill the center need we have. It's much like you and Barkov. He would be a phenomenal add, but why would Florida move him?
Winnipeg just went into a series as the favourites and got swept. After their star got himself removed from the playoffs. Fans seem to think Maurice should be on his way out. They just brought in PLD. It's just my wish list sprinkled with a little conspiracy theory!

Well I saw him play 2 seasons ago, and god damn he was good.

It does calls for him playing games on the Rangers next season to build up value yes.

- Slimtj100

TJ, I was certainly not insulting your intelligence (on this matter, ).
I just think that the overall positive/negative to the TEAM lends toward ADA not being brought back in.
As discussed here, he would need to be showcased for much of the season. AND he would have to be 100% issue free on the Social Media front through that time, too. One stupid comment and he's cancer again.
Plus, this franchise is looking to make immediate strides forward. That has been made crystal clear. Limiting Nils or any other of the kids growth to showcase Tony is not moving toward next years playoffs. That is why I think it's not happening.

Rangers have Buffalo's 3rd rounder, that's the first pick of 3rd round, could be what it would take

Reaves is under contract for one more year at $1.75 and Carrier, who is 8 years younger than Reaves, under contract for 3 more years at $1.4

You are making me yearn for you to get hit by a bus haha

I just think it’s a dumb decision. Suppose he played idk 50 games, and got idk 40 pts? A deadline deal for him would bring us a first rd pick..at worst a 2nd. You know, asset for asset? We are getting rid of an asset all because they have no room for him. That is dumb

- Slimtj100

Ha.. LOL

But seriously, Tony D has been a problem since he got here, I have no idea why they didnt trade him when they had the chance. They give him 11 mil and then send him off to Siberia. Another example of mishandling of assets by Gorton. The hypothetical's of the amount of points he can have might be realistic but that ship set sail when they sent him home. They didnt get rid of him because they dont have room for him, they rid of him cause he was a cancer in the locker room. Supposedly.

I have someone fairly in the know in Winnipeg who thinks Maurice is a horrific coach, unable to make adjustments on the fly and misuses his personnel.

I have listened to him a few podcasts as well. Just doesn't come off as a bad guy or anything. I think its just his writing style. And lets be real when you are dealing with Rangers fans on twitter you have to be hard on them
