In your world, easiest way to prevent a goal is to shove a forward into your own goalie. Any goal scored during that time won't have a chance of standing up.

I think it was interference and I would have felt compelled to challenge it. That said, I don't think it would have been overturned.
He was definitely pushed into Varly but made little to no effort to get up and out. He also kept his stick in a place that impeded Varly's movement. Unfortunately as I said during the game, I imagine Barry wasn't going to challenge a borderline play like that for fear of putting Tampa back on the pp.

I was at the game and got texts from friends of mine that were Flyers and Rags fans saying.. "you have to challenge that goal" ... I didn't see the replay until I got home.

We've been down 2-1 in the two series before this and won, plenty of hockey left.

That said....4 goals in 3 games isn't sending them anywhere but the golf course. Better figure something out and fast. Might be Wahlstrom time.

Have to agree. Fact the Isles loss to Tampa last year is scary. I know new season and series but Tampa is elite and Isles have to find a way past this team. Hard to get to this point 3 years in a row.

really played a solid game last night.. held them to only 2 goals despite the B.S. call... u have to score more than 1 goal. that Palmieiri miss still kills me. such a great set up by JGP.. need to bury that shot. Put it right into Vas chest.

Defense is not a big concern for me even against Tampa. Islanders can paly a strong defensive game. Going to come down to the Isles being able to score enough goals against a team like Tampa. That is what sunk the Isles against the Canes. Isles have trouble when teams can really clamp down on things.

Defense is not a big concern for me even against Tampa. Islanders can paly a strong defensive game. Going to come down to the Isles being able to score enough goals against a team like Tampa. That is what sunk the Isles against the Canes. Isles have trouble when teams can really clamp down on things.
