Fatty Patty was holding on for dear life

For what? Maroon's fought much bigger and much better fighters than Martin.

I don’t know I guess everyone just doesn’t know “WFT” they’re talking about. Must have not played in the elite beer leagues others did and Patty Lafontaine’s backyard. Watching fat Leo skate in twenty seconds after the puck went in alone twenty feet from everyone when there’s 7 opposing players on the ice means nothing. I didn’t realize Komarov needed to cover no one ever. It was every other islanders fault Barzal, Leddy, Eberle, out there besides fat Leo evidently not blown coverage on everyone’s part. Barzal and Leddy lamely “pressuring” Kucherov and Komarov dragging arse. The guy is just so good. All hail fat Leo the savior of the first line

Sad to see referees possessing a disposition that they are part of the game. A good referee understands that he is not. Missing a "Too many men" infraction at this level is a reflection of either incompetence or arrogance. the Isles are built to bend but not break. They can ill afford the refs' gaffs. they just aren't offensively gifted to overcome something as egregious as that.

Imagine how the Lightning feel when they missed the blatant crosscheck on Point, and sent him off instead....

That being said, the NHL undoubtedly have THEE worst officiating group or all the 4 major sports.

Just to make all the Islanders fans feel better. Here's their "Too Many Men on the Ice", that wasn't called, and had NOTHING to do with the goal that was scored directly after.

Seriously, anyone who's watched Marron in the last 10 years, knows he's the same size as he's always been.

Though by your argument, the fatter he gets, the more Cups he seems to be winning.

Ok so now it’s ok to have 7 players on the ice if it has no effect on whether there’s a goal scored or not. Duly noted. We’ll have three players in the neutral zone and five in your zone next game. If the players in the neutral zone don’t touch the puck no biggie. Thanks we feel better.

Does it matter if it's 6 or 7? Goals were scored when both violated the rules.

It was 3 v 3 in the Islanders zone, it's not like they had some sort of an advantage in the zone at the time.

Nah he is fatter now then he was a couple of years ago. Still a solid bottom 6 forward and a two time cup winner for sure. Still doesn't change the fact he is a slob

This is so stupid I’m not going to reply to you any longer. I advise everyone else to do the same.

Nobody is really complaining outside of a few who complain about everything. Point BS interference call and 7 guys on the ice washes out both goals. Tampa was the better team in game 2 and deserved the win. Don't come in here trying to stir shat up, Weird didn't see you around these parts after game 1. You're one those guys huh?

Yeah he is. Thankfully he came in today I’m now convinced it’s ok for teams to have 7 players on the ice at once if four of them stay in the neutral zone on a rush.

Its just a big whatever at this point. We lost. Looking forward to next game. That is all. I just find the blatant too many men penalties don’t matter mantra that the NBC morons facilitated last night

Really, I thought Leddy could have played that a lot better...gave Kucherov waaay too much time and space to make the pass.

Leddy, Barzal, and yes even Leo who was ten seconds later then the late man. Both Leddy and Barzal who inexplicably decided to help with Leddy’s futility and leave his man. It was a team effort of terribleness. I don’t even remember seeing Eberle

Also, we're talking all day about the goalie interference and too many men...but the most disappointing thing to me was how flat they were in the third. Credit to TB, as they played with a purpose, but the Isles were dead in the water until there were four minutes left and the game was all but decided.

Yep we lost that game yesterday. We were a bit flat imo. Pageau was playing injured evidently and that line was a bit invisible overall I assume connected to that. The good news is we all know we’re much better then what we saw last night.

Trotz: Wahlstrom "is available to come back in, I don't know if he's a candidate to come back in." Feels #Isles will be healthy for tomorrow, so likely no changes to lineup.

This argument is only 24 hours old, yet it's already old. Still, if your defense is covering man on man and there are two extra players on ice, one of which was making no effort to leave the ice, that can cause a little confusion on coverage. It's done and over with, but that play should have been DOA

I had the unfortunate displeasure of seeing a shirtless Maroon celebrating at the Cup party in Tampa. He looks like a bearskin rug stuffed with pudding. Don't let his doughy look fool you though. He can throw the mits. He's no Bob Probert, but he did have a "fight" with Chara, and even attempting that takes some large nuts. He has stone hands though and his sole value on ice is gooning it up and board battles. He's pretty good at protecting the puck, but not very good doing anything with it that shows up on the scoresheet.
