Yeah he is. Thankfully he came in today I’m now convinced it’s ok for teams to have 7 players on the ice at once if four of them stay in the neutral zone on a rush. - Cptmjl
Youre a serious idiot. You pro Islanders horsepoop is unbelievable. But I guess I shouldnt expect anything less. |

Either Varly or Sorokin is a solid option. Trotz has two good choices and they are both correct. I was a little surprised to see him put Varly back in. Sorokin looked good and I thought they'd play it safe with Varly. I don't think it would have changed the outcome. - JimmyP
Lightning fans felt the same way about Vasilevskiy in the 2015 Finals, but they decided to force an often injured Bishop back. To be fair, the Lightning showed a glimpse into 2019, as their offense failed to show up for the last 3 games of the series. |

Whatever happens tonight, please, please let the F-ing players decide it. Can we have one game without the on-ice officials engaging in woophuckery? |

Leadership, scoring touch, a net-front presence the team hasn't had since he went down...it'd be awesome.
But, probably not happening. But... ... ... ...maybe? |

Not happening unless they’re pulling all of our legs. That’s one thing I would be ok with them BS’ing us on. |

POV: Points penalty should have been a wash. Yes he did get crossed checked which should have been called but he definitely could have made it a less of a collision with Varly.
As for the 7 men on the ice I’m over it and it really wasn’t a direct reason for the goal. The Islanders were out played but I still feel had their chances. Going into the series after watching Tampa the first 2 rounds I felt they had very little chance of winning this series. But after both games I feel completely different and hopes they can raise their intensity and can win the next 2 games.
I am a huge Sorokin fan but Varly has played well. Hopefully he can continue but if he struggles I feel Sorokin can play just as well or even better.

Consider the fact that he was taking tip drills two weeks ago. That's not typical knee rehab stuff. Thats timing rehab. The moment I saw that it made me wonder but I figured it was too good to be true.
Once again, I'd draw back to the Moulson's dog kinda rumor from some dude in Twitter who claims he knew Varly and said he was told to not count Lee out from returnung in 'early' July..... |

It'd be the ultimate Trotz "never reveal anything" troll, and even funnier because Barzal would have almost ruined it a couple of weeks ago when he said something like "who knows if we get him back." |

It certainly seems odd to me that he's not wearing a special jersey or anything. I injured my knee in years ago and believe I had a partial tear. My Doc told me that skating likely wouldn't be as tough as more simple things like crouching. He was totally right. It was a full two years before I could completely crouch with full weight on that knee, yet I continued to play with little problem, thanks to a brace.
He may be there just for the inspiration factor, but I wouldn't rule anything out. He'd still have to be in game shape though, which could be tough |

I don’t know I guess everyone just doesn’t know “WFT” they’re talking about. Must have not played in the elite beer leagues others did and Patty Lafontaine’s backyard. Watching fat Leo skate in twenty seconds after the puck went in alone twenty feet from everyone when there’s 7 opposing players on the ice means nothing. I didn’t realize Komarov needed to cover no one ever. It was every other islanders fault Barzal, Leddy, Eberle, out there besides fat Leo evidently not blown coverage on everyone’s part. Barzal and Leddy lamely “pressuring” Kucherov and Komarov dragging arse. The guy is just so good. All hail fat Leo the savior of the first line - Cptmjl
wow.. apparently I missed a lot. At one point did you think I was trying to defend Leo? I hate Leo and always have hated they guy. I was just curious if the 7 guys was b/c of the B.S. jump on the ice to join rush from the O-zone end before the guy u are coming on for is even close to the far end of the bench. would love to see an angle that shows the whole thing for that goal. |

I don't particularly like how Barzy played it but originally it was just Kuch, Leddy and Barzy. Dobson was next back and covered the trailer. Because Kuch circled back high, Barzy had pinched in at this point. Palat, coming off the bench entered the zone on the opposite side of Barzy with Leo behind him by a couple of strides.
I'm okay with where Barzy went and I don't fault Leo because it was a bullpoop change that set Palat free.
You can watch it here
https://www.wfla.com/spor...-palat-for-go-ahead-goal/
It was a great play by Kuch, but leddy and Barzy simply didn't smother him - keaner17
Still can't see the bench on the change.. but Barzal has to see that guy coming and pick him up.

My point was rather then cover nobody with Barzal stupidly out of the play Leo should have done something rather then show up after they already scored gliding thirty feet behind the play which I just watched again with your clip. In everyone of my posts I gave Leddy and Barzal their fair share of deserved bashing. - Cptmjl
especially since that turd is only on that line b/c he is supposed to supply defensive responsibility. |
