so the exp draft predictions has the Leafs losing Dermott or Kerfoot.
call me crazy, but I would rather lose Holl
unless they have a decent replacement for Kerfoot in mind.
Dermott is younger and cheaper than Holl. - senstroll
I think it's gonna be Holl.
I could see the Leafs going the 7-3-1 option and protecting;
Campbell, Rielly(if not traded by then), Muzzin, Brodie, Matthews, Tavares, Marner, Nylander, Kerfoot, Spezza and Engvall.

Why would Seattle take Dermott though?
I think it's either Kerfoot or Holl that gets taken. - Scabeh
I honestly think it's Holl... Kerfoot will be protected |

Lou lams in the top 3 for GM of the year...2nd time sense leaving the leafs...or being forced out.

I think Holl would be the choice. He is in his prime and is on a good contract. There will be so many side deals however with Seattle.

They pretty much just vote Gms from the final 4 teams every year. |

Dermott is still an RFA, Leafs can re-up him after the expansion draft |

How else would you explain Marc Bergevin being up for the award? |

I wouldn’t give up Marner for a goalie but they are the most important.
Campbell had a good season, ended poorly in games 5-6-7 not a real confidence boost. Spend large up front and go to the food bank for our goalies. - Garnie
He was really great this year. Grab a 1 B goalie and we are set Campbell had more than just a good year. Even in the 7 game series, his save % was higher than Price's. |

Yup. Begevin went from being the front runner in january to peopel asking when he'll be fired the rest of the year now he's a finalist. |

I hope Bergevin wins it, would probably be the first time ever a GM won the award during the same season that 75% of the teams fans wanted that GM fired |

I do hate how, do to when they do the voting it is only about the final 4 teams remaining.
Dubas would have been a finalist hands-down if Leafs were there |

If habs don't win this series, they'll be mad at how many more years this has bought Bergevin |

A semi finals appearance and a GM of the year award, it will buy him at least 10 more seasons |

Save % means squat, who cares if you
Lose 10-0 1 game and then win the series.
Soft goals are killers, the whole team just deflated, can’t have them in the playoffs...same thing Freddie did.
I don’t have any faith in him at the moment, but great guy and I hope he proves me wrong.

Meh, we've had way worse GMs than Bergevin over the years.
He's doing a fine job. Changing him wouldn't guarantee an upgrade imo.

Well and reg season I would guess.
the deadline trades he made have paid off in spades.
I mean overall, I dont care about the NHL awards at all...but this is funny as most leafs fans said Lou was past his prime, a dinosaur. |

Like bringing in Eric Staal?
What about Sakic in Colorado for the season they had? Or Don Waddell for the season the Hurricans had? |
