Nylander at 7mil is certainly a problem.. you need balance, Nylander doesn’t have a well rounded enough game to make that much. Maybe on a team that desperately needs scoring.

We couldn’t score against the (frank)ing Habs. Troll better or troll somewhere else.

How the hell is Nylander @ 7M a problem? He hits 25-30 goals this year if it's a full season and he was clearly our best player in the post-season with 8pts in 7gp.

Trying to push a narrative about Nylander not earning his keep is patently absurd.

Marner's game is not that much more "well rounded" than Nylander's, and it could get the Leafs a better return

It’s AA. The Nylander hate makes it too obvious.

If Zach were to stay as a Leaf for $5.5M, I think there would be a lot more happier people than you think. I don't think the Leafs could afford him, but he's worth it, IMO..

The issue with Anderson is the term, not the money

- PatC80

at 29 and 5.5...no, people would not like it...josh is 2 years younger.
I like Hyman but not at anything over 4m....not at our current cap limitations

Its what the leafs need
Just not at that cost.

- Fakepartofme

Meh 5.5 we could make room, like he does when he’s on the ice.

umm he just led the league in scoring playing with marner.

both are easy to shut down in the playoffs...or at least have been the past two years.

Fack no...5.5 is way too much...it will not age well.
We could find someone else for cheaper.

Matthews’ two best goal scoring playoffs were without lil’ Mitchy. Maybe Keefe should’ve at least, I don’t know, try something different in a game or two.

Cause now Mathews is playing short handed.
Just glare at Marner at he'll shake out of his skates.

5.5M for one point in 13 games?

29 points in his last 91 games...Come on

And he scores? 19 goals in his past 91 games...he does not score.

- Santo_44

He would be 3rd on the Leafs in 5v5 goals behind Matthews and Marner this year.

Don’t forget he played for that cheapskate Torts who didn’t allow his team to go over the other teams blue line.

Pts wise....it doesnt look good at all.
But his play has been good.
So let me clarify....2018/19 Josh anderson is what the leafs need

- Fakepartofme

Ya E Kane.

Phil Kessel like trade with salary retained.

Fights, scores, has speed, skill. PPG player last season.

For sure keefe should have.
Keefe should have tried anything different...instead he didnt, they continued the possession game that did not work.

Keefe really failed these past playoffs. IMO

Only 26 of those games were played with Torts.

I like Anderson, wanted the Leafs to trade for him....Hate the contract though.

I'd rather have signed him to a 2 year cheaper deal and risk losing him in FA than giving him that atrocious contract.
