Jason Spezza is 30 pts from 1000. I think that's totally achievable in an 82 game season.

I think if they like their jobs they might realize that they need to mix things up a bit. That skilled TBL team did a lot of dumping the puck yesterday in rolling over NYI who had stymied them the same way the Leafs had been slowed up.

1) No Guarantee Toews is even coming back. Theres been no news and his symptoms seem similar to what Rossi of the Wild had but more severe

2) Why would want one to the best 2 Way Centermen in the league on your team to play wing?

3) Toews isnt that offensively gifted. He's on average a 60 point producer.

4) Even if he comes back he probably wont be any good. I doubt he's working out if he is lethargic. Probably going to lose a lot of muscles mass combined with missing a full year of hockey.

5) Why is CHI moving him? They have 10 mill in free cap space with him on LTIR why would they move him to add half to their cap?

Wasnt just that though. If you look at a lot of Montreal's goals they were off Defensive turnovers. Game 5 alone was lost due to the D. I believe Leafs lost that one 5-4 in OT and EVERY goal was off a turnover.

Spezza is a great signing for the Leafs. I hope gets the 1000th point this year.

Hamilton would improve the D and scoring. Over the last 5 years he’s second in goals by a Dman.


They probably won’t sign him. They’re delusional in thinking this core has what it takes to win, so they probably believe the defence is fine.
