You know what guys….

I think if we keep the same core, next year is our year!

- .HOHO.

If something doesn’t work the first time, try, try again until you get fired and another guy comes in and makes the necessary changes that’s needed. Shït Buster gone.

Sounds like you read some tea leaves out of your hat for that prediction.

Hamilton would improve the D and scoring. Over the last 5 years he’s second in goals by a Dman.

They probably won’t sign him. They’re delusional in thinking this core has what it takes to win, so they probably believe the defence is fine.

Another first round exit. Great. Can’t wait for next year’s excuses.

Hey little buddy, why so down?

This year was supposed to be different, but it was the same thing. And they aren’t going to make any big changes. So, why care about the playoffs anymore? It’s all about individual regular season point totals

Love the idea of Toews and there something cool about having a team made up entirely of former captains of other teams.

I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest getting a non old, non expensive, non fragile, guy who could maybe do the same kind of thing.

- Canada Cup

We already did that.

I think we had 9 guys with captain experience at one time:

2003-04

Mogilny (did it with Buffalo temporarily due to an injury)
Sundin
McCabe
Nieuwendyk
Nolan
Fitzgerald
Leetch
Francis

I think I'm missing a guy.

Can we make trades with the London Knights? Asking for an overpaid and wimpy friend.

Whats been wrong with previous owners and GMs of the Leafs is not sticking to the plan.

Most recent example of the million we have is Leafs going way too hard on thinking 7 games in the playoffs means so much against Boston in 2014.

Grabo buy out and Clarkson signing followed.

Relax and stick to the plan, lets stop being stupid like we have in the past.

If the plan is set up to fail, then it’s dumb to stick with it.

You shouldnt blow up the core for the sake of it. Look it took Ovechkin how many years to finally get his cup.

Leafs players are all skilled. They just need to wake up and play with some killer instinct. The team often goes out there thinking they are just going to win and thats why they lose.

D needs to play smarter. Marner and Matthews need to produce in the playoffs. Both guys are 23/24 years old. They will get it together.

Jesus. The Leafs were last place 5 years ago.

Relax. We have done this way too many times, gotten too excited or down on the Leafs and then deviate from the plan.

Shanny said it best back in 2015...He said the problem with past mistakes in Toronto has not been making a plan, its been sticking to it. It is easy to let media and crazy fans sway you to go away from the plan and (frank) up.

I am happy we finally have a GM that isn't going to do something stupid and deviate from their plan because a few failures. Lets.Stop.Doing.This.

So you are saying if the Leafs do what the Caps did with Semin and Green we will win a cup in 2030 Yay

Losing Semin and Green didn't win them the cup in 2018...Sadly it made them no better after losing both of them.

When were Semin and Green considered core players? They arent even comparable to anyone on the leafs

Semin was top-3 on the team in points every year. And Green was a runner-up for the Norris twice. Not core players.

The Caps lost in round 1 the year after losing Semin

Missed the playoffs year 2 after losing Semin

Success!

It’s better than waiting 22 years like Bourque.

If the Caps were smarter and traded them instead of letting them go to Free Agency, they could’ve won sooner with pieces they got back. Although Green’s downfall was primarily concussions.

So Hamilton is the only possible change open to the team? Open your mind to the limitless opportunities in life.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of Dougie Hamilton that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Every year? Out of Semin's 6 years as a Cap, he had more than 54 points 3 times. Mike Green put up points, that is it.

Ovy, Backstrom and Carlson have been the Core
