Failed centerman, you’re nuts. When he got put at center by Granato he increased his play. A 1st rd maybe in a weak draft and a poop prospect, go elsewheres.

I'd love to, but I'm pretty sure he's done with Buffalo. He'll sign a one-year qualifying offer and no more in Buffalo. He did us a favor in playing so well this past season on such a poop team with Eichle out. He will never have a higher trade value.

Reinhart's numbers exploded when he moved to center this season.

I'm definitely not in the business of over rating the s*** I've seen over the last decade. For what it's worth, I'd take Sam Reinhart on my team at 7 million dollars per year over Jack eichel at ten million dollars per year any day of the week. Sam has done nothing but stand in front of the net and get hacked while putting in goals; been told by the idiots running the Sabres he can't play center and then succeed at wing.... and then succeed at center when injury put him back there; and stay healthy while other players miss time constantly. He's the prize of the available Sabre players.

Very fair offer on both sides if thats what happens. Shame Sam has learned to hate the Sabres. It was less his fault than any of the other constants over the past 10 seasons.

Thanks for that. He could very well end up in Calgary, he fits the "western canadian kid" mold they always talk about. Sounds similar to Sam Bennett - granted, I'd take Reinhart 10/10 times considering he lays it down on the line for his team regardless - something Bennett refused to do. It could have been worse with Reinhart I tell ya!

I guess it would take Calgary's 12th + either of Pelletier/Zary/Valimaki. Tempting as Sutter could fix him, put him back at C, then trade Monahan - or he's our badly missing RW... I still lean towards keeping the 12th, just for the value of having an ELC for cap reasons.

Everything about Sam screams he came from a great hockey family. If he goes out to W Canada he'll thrive again. In a full season hes a 40 goal scorer and a responsible player getting better every season thus far.
