Foote has to be protected in the E Draft and I also believe he can not be sent down on waivers . Rathbone doesn't .
I don't want Johnson @4 mil . It needs to be 2.5 -3 mil max - VANTEL
Be nice at that price but don’t see TB retaing that much but instead will add a pick to dump him if Krak pass on him. |

Yes I did.

They could side deal Seattle but then they give up an asset for nothing . If they side deal with the rest of the league they get a return for their asset.

Contract comparables before covid not happening imo. Hyman js a very good 3rd wheel in the top 6 or even 9 given a good 3C but that depends on Green & so many other factors. 6m is outta the question unless some fool GM signs him or he signs for a bottom feeder with cap & that I highly doubt unless all about the money. Best comparable imo is Palat he signed for 5.3m precovid so I discount accordingly to about the 4-4.5m range.
On AL almost a Tanev & again he’ll sign a covid deal in this market place. Any more & we walk. So max imo is 4-4.25m. - Nighthawk
I mean, you can do whatever you want on capfriendly, but I don’t think many players will be taking a discount, on top of a discount. Cap hits will still be signed relative to the comparable players. The discount will come from money being withheld by the league. |

Ok give us comparables. As for a discount they are not in a position to demand top $. |

Happy Father’s Day to those of you manly enough to have planted your seed. For the rest of you, there’s still time, you probably just need to surround yourself with some guys who are good in the room to show you how it’s done. Might be a bit awkward , but I’m sure you will find a way to power through. - 1970vintage
The only awkward thing is father's day if it's a result of surrounding yourself by guys that are good in the room. |

I just did. I’m not interested in doing acrobatics to add UFA’s. Be patient, wait one more year, then be more aggressive.
Also, what is top $? Nobody is suggesting that Hayman is going to get $9m. But some team will believe he is an upgrade, and pay him similar to other guys that produce as he has. |

No one is talking Islanders or Caps but they need to move money also and decisions to make.

How much were they over before this year started? They're probably going to win their second straight Cup, they'll find a way to be compliant and still ice a tremendous Cup contending roster, just like this year. |

No doubt . Very smart management . They will find a way . More GMs need to use those loopholes.
Can you imagine if Loui was at training camp and tripped and his knee went out for the year

Kind of baffling that Vancouver management can never find a "creative" way to legally get around cap mismanagement but other clubs can??? |

I’m fine with playing the kids & said so many times starting with last season but that is irrelevant when JB said they will be aggressive this season. As for 9m lol I said not getting his rumoured 6/6m ask or a GM is nutz. He is an upgrade for most teams but at what cost we will see.
I can wait 1 more year but this crackers fanbase are insufferable & will surely whine no matter what occurs. |

They did and it cost them a 9 mil recapture penalty.
They actually are doing it with Ferland and probably Beagle and Roussel this year. |

Well geez is that vague or what lol
Already handed the cup & they’ve no choice to be compliant. Has anyone doubted they will not ice a good roster? |

I was actually thinking there’s probably a surgery he needs, that could be scheduled for mid September, and has a 6-8 month recovery period. Something to fix whatever is wrong so that he can actually keep playing after this year (somewhere else). |

People on the internet, not this particular fan base. Go read through the Leaf thread, it’s a mirror or this one. On second thought, just take my word for it and save yourself an hour and 30 brain cells.
