They do have cap and I am not going to get into that dumb discussion again for the 14 000 time - VANTEL
So they had/have cap space but couldn’t sign him because they had no cap space. Got it |

Technically they signed Holtby for 4 mill or so , so yes there was cap space, the OEL quest sidetracked them right when Tanev and Toffoli were looking to sign.
And in off-season can't you be 10% over until training camp or so? |

Say Buffalo takes Berniers first , trades Eichle for another high pick, drafts L.Hughes.
Could we packedge Q.Hughes and our 9th for Dahlin and Reinhardt?
There are no shrimp rovers left in the playoffs, Theodore and Petriangelo are both big and play more physical. |

Dom: I wish the first thing that came to my mind about Vegas was how dominant the Golden Knights looked in Game 1 against Montreal. Or their strong comeback effort in Game 2. Or how amazing Alex Pietrangelo has looked in these playoffs and especially Wednesday. Or the effect of missing Chandler Stephenson, who has blossomed into an effective top-six center. But instead, the focus is forever on penalties. Vegas took none in Game 2. None! That’s four of the team’s past six games where the Golden Knights have taken zero infractions (excluding puck over the glass), and one of those games featured a power play that was evened up after 22 seconds. Amazing discipline. How does this team do it?!

Hughes is great don’t get me wrong but I’d take dahlin over him one for one, so why would Buffalo trade Reinhardt for 9th overall? |

Well that's been speculated all over the radio lately, and he wants out , just hasn't got to the point of sitting out.
And most radio listening fans call in and say it's an overpayment |

I think Benning can be a dummy same as the next guy but he is saying he didn't want Benning to trade for him in the first place but is upset that he didn't re-sign him.
It sounds like a discussion I have no chance of winning. - VANTEL

July can't come soon enough so we can see what player moves are pulled off by the Canucks. They have cap room to make decisions.
While I agree with Carol augmented coaching can get better results not high on signing Hamonic before the e-draft. I'd rather JB shake out a D trade from a team not able to protect a young player. |

Knights were the better team, Price stole that one. |

According to you the team had plenty of cap space. Are you now admitting that wasn’t true? - 1970vintage
They could have easily signed him but were looking at other things first (OEL) I will say it for the 200 th time the amount they spent on Holtby Jake Schmidt and Hamonic was almost identical to Tanev Markstom and Toffoli.
At any time the could have signed 1 , 2 , or all 3.

When Price does it it's no biggie , When Demko did it Canucks only got there because of goal tending |

They are now saying the Canucks have overpaid for a trade that hasn't even happened
