Kyrou, Neighbours and a 1rst round pick. - redseerpf
Interesting, I go back and forth on Kyrou, I just don't know if he will completely breakout playing for Berube.so this could be part of a slightly bigger deal. Blues would need to move some salary to make the deal work. maybe add D-Man Scandella and a 2nd rounder coming back to St Louis. Tkachuk deal is up after next year, already at $7 mill, I sure he would want to stay in St Louis, take a hometown discount maybe ? If Neighbours is in the deal, along with the 1st, /16 OA I and pulling Kyrou and giving Stanford.
so deal is to St.Louis: M Tkachuk / 2rd 2021
To Flames: Stanford/ Neighbours/Scandella/ 2021 16 OA

No offence but this is awful lol - FLAM3SFAN Keep in mind, his deal is up after next year. Yes he is still a RFA, but he could force their hand next summer. Neighours was a 1st// a 2021 16 OA // Stanford good for 15 goals a year, Scandella just to make the money work, decent 2-3 pair d-man.

Sorry but most of these are spare parts. Kyrou/Neigh/1rst is likely just a starting point, some team probably will offer even more.
I'd allow the Blues to talk extension with Matthew before the deal if needed.
To make the money work, find a 3rd team and ship them Tarasenko. |

Not enough, other teams would up that for sure. We are not restricted where we trade him or if we trade him. I would rather keep him quite frankly, give him his 8.0 mill & call it a day. He's a piece you win with not trade.

Make room for some kids, we have to start giving them a chance to see what we have.
I’d like the Flames to take some defense this draft. We’ve taken forwards the last 2 first rounds and our d prospects are getting thin.
Speaking of D, am I the only one that thinks Kylington is the Rodney Dangerfield of the Flames backend? Seems like he’s been eating popcorn here for an eternity. Guys going to sign in Europe if he’s not taken by Seattle. |

I reiterate K-Man's sentiment, thanks for the write up. Better than me posting a bunch of questions...
I agree with all but I think Stone earned a contract. I look at what the Habs D is doing and that's in the Stone style. Trust me, prior to him getting games at the end, I wanted him long gone. He played steady.
Kylington has some upside, I think he's another player that will benefit from a change of scenery. Some people gripe he didn't get playing time but I agree, he looked lost at times and that hardly instills confidence. Honestly though, NOTHING can happen until the Kraken pick, that's the catalyst. In one way, I almost hope its Gio. To me that starts the ball rolling. |

Yeah, I agree on Kylington. I’m not super impressed with him and they could probably get an asset they can use for him since he seems to be in purgatory. |

I'm sure he wants to play too. Whats his realistic value though? If the Kraken don't take Gio, I would assume its Kylington. |

You cant be serious GET FRANKED!
Its #16 overall you're offering not #2 overall.
Kyrou, Neighbors, #16 in 2021 and a 2022 1st. For Chucky with 2-3 million retained and the Oilers 2021 3rd. |

sign geztlaf(need a big vet) and Hyman(a Ryan upgraded), move Monahan to the wing.
Tchachuk/lind/gaudreau
Mangy/Geztlaf/Monahan
Hyman/Backs/Dube
Lucic/Zary(Philllips)/Insert 4th liner
should they try to get Hamonic back? |

With what kind of cap space do you expect to do all of the above?

I'd try to bring in Hall, that would let you trade Tkachuk or Gaudreau to upgrade other parts of the line-up. Gaudreau was a huge blessing, Hall would be too - both would be cases of falling in our lap for free. I bet the owners want the team to morph more so than to "retool". Monahan/Gio/Kyli/Vali could be other moving parts.. would be great if Gio re-signed as a UFA if he gets picked by Seattle
The one thing that's new with the Flames - is extended silence.
What does this mean for Treliving's performance review? He passed, or are they quietly looking to replace him?
What about Gaudreau contract talk silence? I'm guessing him and his agent have a big number and are holding their ground - down to the last minute again.. |

Signing Hall is brilliant! That’s the only way the Flames will ever get the 1st oa pick. Bring on lotto balls! |

I like Ritchie but I only bring him back if it’s built into his contract that Darryl can’t play him any higher than the 4th line lol.
Kylington’s speed and transition game was a breath of fresh air when he got in over Nestorov. He may be a deer in the headlights in his own zone but I think he will find his way onto someone’s 3rd pairing next season

I am down for trading JG and signing Hall. Need to upgrade at RW. Send Monahan to Buff for Reinhart. Both get fresh starts. Retain some salary on Backlund and get a decent pick.
Tkachuk-Lindholm-???
Hall-Sam Reinhart-Mange
Nick Ritchie-Dube-Bret Ritchie
Lucic-Ruzica-Mat Phillips
Leave Pelletier rip it up in the Baby Flames for a year.

Tkachuk and Monahan to the Sabres for Eichel. - K-man25
Being realistic for a minute considering there is sub-zero chance that monahan waives his NTC for Buffalo the max I've considered for eichel is tkachuck, 12 and any prospect not named Zary (so essentially Pelletier). Even then I think that’s too much because from what I’ve seen even the prospects rumoured to go to Buffalo are far from locks to becoming even close to tkachuck (Turcotte, Kakko, zegras) so him and 12 should be enough in my opinion. |
