He does. No question. He should know by now that he will get called every time.

I will never understand NHL officiating or how they decide what is what.

When Tampa was up 3-0 they made three consecutive borderline calls on us while ignoring a blatant trip on Barzal while we were pressing. They created the sh!tshow but they’re NHL referees. That’s what they do.

That is not your job as an official. You are there to be impartial arbiters of the game. The coach can sit a player if he is concerned for his safety. That is not your responsibility.
