Ruuta acting like he had been tased didn't help. That end result will be what decides his fate if he's suspended. I don't think he should be, but I definitely have a bad feeling about it.

Speaking of bad feelings, I had one about tonight's game. Told my daughter I was worried we might get our asses handed to us, but had no idea it would be anything like THIS. That said, like everyone else so far, I fully expect them to protect the fort and go to game seven.....

Just saw the replay it did come up a little high.

I would love to know what is ailing Pageau. He looks slow and lost. I wouldn't be shocked if it were a hip or groin issue. I lean towards 'hip' with how Tampa has targeted him. The constant crosschecks etc suggest they have an idea that he might have ssues there

I'm afraid the reality is he'll get a game, which is a killer (obviously)

First, you're an idiot. Go watch the Blackhawks games. Oh, wait, you cun't. Second, there have been several similar plays to this in the playoffs and so far the max has been a $5000 fine which the highest that can be given. Third, you may want to check Barzal's suspension record since he's been in the league because he's not exactly a Tom Wilson. It brings me back to mayfield and Nelson getting cross checked in their heads and laying on the ice against Boston. Neither were penalized and one got a 5,000 dollar fine. Barzal’s play doesn’t even hold a candle to either of those plays. Not even a little bit but you can bet your arse the classless Cooper run Lightning will 100% milk this with Rutta being out “day to day” with an “upper body injury”. If they suspend Barzal for that I give up on the NHL at that point.

When you have a player directly, repeatedly, cross checking a player down on the ice that’s a clear intent to injure like with mayfield where as Barzal got his stick up on Rutta. I don’t look at that as an intent to injure. You can’t say one is a 5000 dollar fine and the other is a suspendable offense. Well I should say they shouldn’t say that but they most likely will. Like I said Tampa will milk this one for sure.

I didn’t see him slash the ref that’s (frank)ing stupid. I shut the game off after that play. Was done. I would think he gets the maximum fine which is 5000 but who knows with the NHL.

Does Barry come out with the same lineup to give them a chance to redeem themselves? I couldn’t type that with a straight face
